@garryjohnknight, I played back in the day. I have an older son that plays, and a 10 YO that plays. I tell ya, tunning is an art, and it took me a long time to be able to go around a set and get them like I wanted them. Now, it's 2nd nature. I have taken some of the cheapest sets and made them sound decent, not saying your set is cheap. He's doing a great job, and I hope he sticks with it. Here's a vid of my son at 8.
hey im 15 and i got the same kit dandrummerdan1 is right tune the snare and buy new drum heads. and your good probley better then me on a set by now cuz im just in a drum line just keep at it
Sounds even better now his drum teacher has tuned it properly. However it has got remo - pinstripe skins on top and the cb skins on the bottom. The cymbals are Meinl and not the lumps of monkey metal that normally come with cheap kits.

and i bent both cymbals all the way around
they are like hitting chunks of shit.
they just break so easily
