  • Tony Turner did a GREAT job in immortalizing Miss Ballard in ALL THAT GLITTERED MY LIFE WITH THE SUPREMES. It is perhaps the best insiders look we will ever get of Flo Ballard. This has a very Motown sound and great full orchestration. Flo has a very powerful voice.

  • THE GREATEST SUPREME OF THEM ALL,AND SHE WAS UNDERATED SINGER. SHE COULD OUT SING DIANA. GIVE HER SOME RESPECT!!!

  • She had a beautiful voice. The best in the group!

  • Flo was wonderful!, But people forget what things were like in 1964, Berry Gordy was out to make money through Crossover sales, He would have been Crazy to start changing the magic that was The Supremes. The public wasn't ready, by the time they were, Aretha, Patti & others had arrived

  • Say what you want about Diana, but at least she was the one who paid for Florence's funeral and sent her three girls to college. Mary, though she claims her and Florence was the best of buds has not done anything for Florence since her demise except make money off of a tell-all. Florence has a nice voice, but too me they all have nice singing voices. Diana just had a more cross-over voice.

  • @starla22g Indeed, finally someone not following this trend to hate Diana. A crossover voice is one that is versatile. Flo was good but not as a lead. It's like she could have had an amazing vibrato but didn't by choice. Sort of like Billie Holiday. Nonetheless, this is quite nice.

  • Много добре !!!

  • THIS WOMAN IS A GREAT PART OF NOT JUST MOTOWN HISTORY, BUT MUSIC HISTROY OF AMERICA. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ENOUGH FAME AND MONEY TO GO AROUND THREE WAYS,SAD STORY

  • Just watched her story on VH1's Unsung, and I never knew about her experience and why she was actually booted out of the Supremes. I have a respect for her for speaking her mind about Diana Ross taking the lead over the group. I love this song, and I'll look up other songs by Florence Ballard. She has a beautiful voice. RIP

  • @SentimentalCrab That's TV One's Unsung.

  • Duplicitous?

You mean holding her promises to the day, "Don't worry Flo, I'll Take Care Of It" and she did, she confronted her demons, wrote two critically acclaimed books (Dreamgirl, My Life As A Supreme & Supreme Faith) that are New York Times Best Seller Books in which every CONNING BACKSTABBING DECEITFUL incident imposed by Motown/Berry Gordy & Diane Ross are documented and exposed!

FYI-Not one single legal retribution or dispute of facts from any party involved!

    VERACITY AT BEST!

  • TheReturnOfBigBear Just stop with the lies!

Florence Ballard received no help from Diane Ross/ Berry Gordy or Motown, all they did was screwed her on the settlement when they ousted her from THE SUPREMES financially and artistically to the tune that she wasn't even allowed to use reference that she was ever a SUPREME for publicity or public matters, no royalties and an INSULTING MONETARY COMPENSATION, not to mention that trough PAYOLA he sabotaged her ABC Records debut!

  • @TWTR4EVER , Puhleeez, I heard her record debut ok, I've heard better Karaoke sung by drunk bar patrons than that.

  • @SpazASSHOLEChat You evaluating Florence Ballard and associating her with "Karaoke" coming from someone who thinks Diane Ross besides sounding like Alvin & The Chipmunks, Disco Duck & Topo Gigio has any talent speaks for itself! A JOKE!

  • @USED-UP FIST FUCKED TWAT4EVER , and what taste do you have? You worship losers. I can guarantee you I eat better than you do. Apparently the Alvin and the Chipmunks sound sells. How many records did Florence Ballard Solo sell. What kind of solo concert draw did she have? -Almost none.

  • @SpazChat Florence was blacklisted by the powerful Motown machine and its head - Barry Gordy who was Diana Ross' lover (Gordy was married too).

  • @lodengreeneyes he was married? i didnt know that oooo no

  • There are Very Few people who don't Love Flo, but loads of People that don't Like you & your Toxic Agenda TWTR4EVER (aka MusicInFlight007, aka SoulSearcer4U, aka mizzfoxy9), I really wish Florence was still with us, I doubt she would be a Fan of Yours

  • What was that Quote of Flo's, "I'd Much Rather Deal with Diana, she comes right out & tells you whats on her Mind & you can Deal with it", Mary is not Honest, By the way TWTR, Where was Miss Mary when Flo needed a Friend?, She knew how bad things were for Flo for almost a Year before Diana Ross found out & actually did something to help, Where did that new House come from that Flo moved into?, I believe her Daughters still live there, Did it drop out of Mary Wilson's Ass?

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear , LOL! I love your way with words. But that's true, Mary was pulling in the cash pretty well at that time too, and she did nothing to help Flo. Flo was destitute. Gee, and who has helped Mary out financially more than once in the past only to be spit in the face for it? Mary isn't too bright.

  • @SpazASSHOLEChat Imagine if Mary is not bright, that not only she finally unmasked Diane Ross for THE BERRY GORDY MOTOWN WHORE she always was but to the tune of TWO BEST SELLING BOOKS in the New York Times Best Seller List!

Guess who's laughing now, specially after the final UNMASKING during Diane Ross "FAILED ATTEMPT" to screw THE SUPREMES (Mary & Cindy) one more time during the YEAR 2000 "THE FAKE SUPREMES REUNION" aka "The Return To Love Tour" (Charade)

There's a special place in HELL Diane!

  • @SpazChat Listen to that DetroitLives313 Thing, He's Re Written History again, Did you realize, "The Supremes" were bigger without Diana & Flo?, 2 Top 10's & ZERO Number 1's in 7 Years, LOL!!!, ROTF!!! LMAO!!!, Any Success they had was Due to Jean Terrell, who after 3 Years said, Screw you Miss Mary Wilson & Left her Ass in the Dust, just like Diana did!

  • @SpazChat Even more Interesting is what Happend after Miss Mary spent all the Money from her "I hate Diana/ Flo is my Sister book",

After years of having their "Diana Ross Trust Fund", Raided, Diana offered to foot the Bill for all 3 of Flo's Daughters to attend The University of their choice, Miss Mary bought them another Happy Meal & Stole their Mother's Gowns! LOL!!!!

  • Poor Flo had to sing this song at the time she was going through so much and yet she felt she was going out of her head. She sounds depressing in this song and her voice was not brought out in a sparkling way. FLo was hit with so many unfortuntate things in her life including her horrible marriage to Tommy Chapman. Flo made so many ridiculous decisions and they all just drove her into insanity.

  • this is the very first time I've ever heard her sing solo. She sounds good!

  • Exactly! And all this behaviour still resonates today, we need more defiant and righteous characters today!

  • My first time hearing her solo! Beautiful!

  • It took all three of these great ladies to make a super group. There will never be another female group that will touch these girls.

  • I love Flo's version of this song! Her phrasing is so unique. I would have liked to hear her belt a little more at the end. She started strong but seemed to be holding back at the end. It sort of echoes her life. She always seemed to be the baudy, fun-loving girl of the Supremes. Then toward the end of her life, she seemed so sad.

  • A fantastic heartfelt version of this song

  • died so young? wow at 33 had an amazing talent Flo REST in peace

  • Rosie Perez could play her in a movie, especially @1:07. Beautiful.

  • MOST OF THE RELEASED FLO BALLARD MATERIAL IS FROM REHEARSAL AND TEST RECORDINGS. THESE RECORDINGS OF MISS BALLARD WHERE NEVER MEANT TO BE RELEASED AS A FINISHED PRODUCT. AND MORE DOES EXIST, BUT WILL LIKELY NOT BE RELEASED.

Please have some respect for the Late Flo Ballard and for the memory of this great "LADY" her children and family. Some of the attitudes and comments here are not becoming of decent, intelligent people. Class yourselves.

  • Like if you strongly feel that Florence would have enacted a far superior Billie Holiday than Diana herself!

  • @KianiKings that is just crazy. I love Billie Holiday, but both singers (Diana Ross, and Florence Ballard) have/had better voices than Billie. and the way Miss Ross interpreted that part was Amazing, which is why she was nominated for the Oscar, and quite frankly should have won. It was just not the right time for a black actress to win. I am just ticked off that Diana Ross didn't do so many movies. Had she kept it up, She would have surely been the first to win for Best actress.

  • @TsalagiAgvnage By 'enacted' i am by no means referring to their vocal abilities but whom would have conveyed the life of Ms.Holiday, respectfully.

  • @KianiKings although i love florance ballard and her voice u cant deny diana did an amazin job of the role billie holiday!

  • @youngthrill THE ONLY MISUNDERSTANDING is that Florence Ballard was "ousted" from THE SUPREMES when Diane's intentions became obvious as her SEX FOR STARDOM alliance created with Motown/Berry Gordy was giving her power to change the dynamics of the group to totally forefront herself into a platform for a "solo career"

Diane "hand picked" Cindy Birdsong (Patti Labelle & The Blue Bells) for her similarity to Flo but mostly her unambitious demeanor, Mary was told clearly, YOU CAN BE REPLACED!

  • @TWTR4EVER Guess what you Twisted Bitter Old Hispanic, Tranny Stewardess from Hell, Florence Ballard loved Diana Ross & Diana Ross loved her right back!,, The Two of them Fought, but they were Both Honest, Talented & Spoke Their Minds. That Duplicitous Back Stabbing Bitch you Worship (Mary Wilson) was Never held in High Esteem by Flo or Diana

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear Anything coming from you requires no guessing, just a good laugh!

Diane Ross loves nobody but herself, this is very well established by now in the industry!

There's not one ounce of HONESTY, ETHICS, MORALS or INTEGRITY in Diane Ross!

Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, Betty McGlown, Barbara Martin & Cindy Birdsong all knew the BACKSTABBING, SELF SERVICING, CONNING, DECEITFUL, ADULTERESS individual they shared the stage with, her name, Diane Ross!

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear By the way, you're losing your cool and the persona of "blkshepherd" one of your many YouTube account in showing up, NOT VERY CONVINCING, the lingo, accusations and IQ62 shines!

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear If in doubt of how ridiculous your statement of Florence loving Diane and Mary betraying Florence is you can hear it directly from Florence Ballard's mouth on a recorded interview from 1975!

Please, visit YouTube-"Florence Ballard Interview (1975) Berry Gordy's Party by MeetTheSupremes"

Your agenda of propping up Diane Ross with lies and misinformation will not be tolerated so don't waste your time out of the roam of the Diane videos were your lies rule the day!

  • @KianiKings Anyone familiar with Billie Holiday knows Diane Ross voice DOESN'T SOUND NOWHERE NEAR MS. HOLIDAY, HER LOOKS DO NOT RESEMBLE BILLIE HOLIDAY ARE AT ALL, THE STORY WAS NOWHERE NEAR FACTUAL!

This was a vehicle designed to showcase Diane Ross and a travesty on Ms. Holidays life!

Do your research, Paramount Pictures wanted the project stop and Berry knew that with the footage they had it would have been the ruin of Motown, his reputation and Diane's forever, he had to finish it alone!

  • @TWTR4EVER Im well aware, you may have misread my comment, alot of people strongly feel that Ms. Ross was an erroneous miscast for the part of Ms. Holiday... but as you rightly initiated, everything worked in Berry's favour and Diana's career subsequently. propped up. Florence Ballard was a victim of the music industry and its impunity on raw talent!

  • @KianiKings FLORENCE BALLARD first and foremost was a victim of Diane Ross need to assume total control of THE SUPREMES, have them changed from FEMALE TRIO (all members share leads& limelight equally) to LEAD & BACKUP SINGERS which she achieved by her SEX FOR STARDOM ALLIANCE with Motown/Berry Gordy who by the BACK ROOM CONTRACT he made them signed became sole control & owner of the group!

Here by getting rid of Flo, giving Mary the ultimatum THAT SHE COULD ALSO BE REPLACE, Diane assume control!

  • Lovely pic at 1:48

  • What I don't understand is why isn't Diana or Mary lending a helping hand to Florence's children. I hope once the moving get released that someone stops up and help them get what was rightfully their mothers'.. Shit MOTOWN and Berry Gordon still can be sued.. RIP in peace Florence Ballard!!!...

  • So instead of taking the rejection like a man, and just move on. He didn't stop until he crushed her completely. The one thing that I will always admire about Florence Ballard is that she always stand her ground.. I think that people also forget the fact that she was raped, because she never seek professional help, all that angry and hatred took over... When you do dirty shit, to people believe me it's coming back..

  • Florence Ballard could song.. I think that they played her at MOTOWN; but sadly she wasn't the only one!.. We can't blame Diana Ross, because regardless if she was sleeping with Berry Gordy @ the end of the day, the decision was his to make. From listening to the interviewers that Florence give; I think Berry was pissed off because she wasn't interested in him at all. Believe or not people with money and power can't still being rejected!

  • TWTR4EVER You are right we must realize in listening to Flo Ballard's ABC sessions that this is'nt a finished album. ABC likely did not intend to release most of these songs. ABC could have returned Flo to the studio with better material and producers. For her part we do know Flo put fourth an amazing effort to sing and perform ill produced material. Therefore as a star who was reportedly in a complete state of mental shock, and fighting Motown, Flo's recordings are great.

  • Can we please stop with the "Dian

  • @SpazChat I don't think people are to embarrassed to agree with you. They just know that you hate Florence and refuse to say anything nice about her. Did I mention Mary? Don't think I did. She had her chance to prove herself and she didn't. Maybe she doesn't want to. I Don't know. What I do know is that Florence was a good singer. . . Of r&b. She was not born to sing pop, Diana was.

  • Florence Ballard did an amazing job on the second rate arrangements and producers that ABC provided for her. Flo did a great job infusing her style into the cover tunes and standards of that day. The new material was not well suited for her - just a few "CUTE" songs. While many are quick to judge and compare - please realize Ms. Ballard was not longer at Motown, and did not get the Supreme treatment she was used too. However she sang the hell out of these songs. Flo sounds fab here.

  • @ramona2400 You're absolutely right about your observation of the poor production arrangements and recording that ABC provided on Florence's album, we have to also keep in mind that the recording was never finished and Florence never brought back into the studio to complete the final phase of the recordings as it was shelved after the first single released due to lack of MARKETING, PUBLICITY & DISTRIBUTION DID SO POORLY!

  • Happy Birthday Florence.

I may not believe in heaven but i know, where ever you are, you're looking down on us thinking "Fools, that ain't how it happened."

  • @bigbear39ca

"I do believe Auntie Mary bought Flo's Daughters a Hot Chocolate back in 1978?"

    HAHAHA! *dead*

  • @bigbear39ca That's where you are wrong on several issues.

    1. Diana did try to pay off the mortgage but Tommy meddled in it thus the deal was cut off without Florence even knowing she tried to help.

    2. In 1975, Florence recieved $50,000 from her settlement aganist Lenoard Baun, she purchased her home and a brand new car.

    3. Mary sent the children christmas gifts while Florence was living, Diana sent gifts after Florence passed.

  • @bigbear39ca Why do hate Mary so much?

  • when flo recorded these songs she hAD ALREADY MESSED UP HER VOICE DRINKING AND OUT WITH PREGNANCY BUT SHE STILL SOUNDS GOOD LISTEN TO IT DOESNT MATTER ON THE SAME ALBUM DIANE CAN SING THATS WHY FLO LET HER IN THE GROUPBUT IF THATS THE CASE WHY EVERY BODY SAY FLO WAS THE BEST SINGER

  • Oh my God! What is wrong with you Flo fans? This was supposed to be the woman that could out sing Diana??? Not in a million years. Give me a break! Better yet, GET THE HOOK!!

  • @SpazChat

    Ah spazchat, my old friend.

    Still spreading the hate huh?

  • @RedRoosterRoad , No, I'm spreadin' the truth!

  • Comment removed

  • @SpazChat Mm Hm. Well you just go and spread what you will.

Most people know to take your comments with a pinch of salt :)

  • @RedRoosterRoad , Please, get real, most are too embarrassed to agree with me. She sounds dreadful. All I ever heard was "Well Flo has a much better voice than Diana. Flo can sing too. " Really now??? They used to say the same about Mary. Where's the hits? She's had 40 years of industry connections and no record deal after Motown dumped her.

  • SHE HAD IT ALL FORAWHILE AND DESEVERED IT FOR A LOT LONGER.

YOU SCREAMING QUEENS ARE ALL FROM THE DIANA FANS., MARY AND FLO WERE NOT GIVEN THE SAME ATTENION FROM GORDY AND NEITHER WAS BRENDA HOLLOWAY. CHECK OUT SOME OF THEIR SOLO PERFORMANCES AND TRY TO DEFY STUPIDITY. WHILE UR AT IT HECK OUT FLO SINGING IT DOESN MATTER WHO I SAY IT OR FOREVER FAITHFUL.ALSO MARY \\\\\\\\SOLO cant take my eyes of of you>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • @bigbear39ca I think Mary was a backstabbing, coat-tail riding whore, and I think Diana was a bitch who didn't care who she walked over to make it. Diana diminshed her own image by doing all the dirt she did.

  • Diana is getting her payback. Everyone knows about her now, and she doesn't get much respect. Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, all of them are still working, still performing, it seems Diana isn't working as much as they are. She never had much of a voice, all she ever had was charisma, and charisma doesn't last long. When she didn't have Berry backing her, she couldn't be successful. What has she done lately? Florence could have made it on her own. She had real talent

  • @MusicandDancing4Ever If Florence could have made it on her on, she would have made it on her on. She tried and failed.

  • @MusicandDancing4Ever Florence Ballard was beautiful and talented, but even she said that she did not have the drive and determination that Diana Ross had. Fans need to stop trying to diminish Diana's accomplishments. She doesn't need another number 1 hit. She is an icon with legendary status. She tours when she wants and is enjoying her life.

  • she was so not fat.

  • I'm reading all these comments and really....were you there? What is your connection and really if not trying to push these songs on radio you just fussing fools...honor Flo!

  • Could had been like Phyllis Hyman.....

  • Comment removed

  • IF U READ THE BOOK U WILL SEE IT'S DIANA WHO WAS THE BACK STABBER NOT MARY... SOME PEOPLE COULDN'T BELIEVE SHE CAME TO HER WAKE...

  • Now, if anyone really wants to hear Flo SANG then check out Forever Faithful, Like You Babe, Love Ain't Love, or My Heart from her solo LP, or songs like Buttered Popcorn, Ain't That Good News, Heavenly Father, and check out her vocal range as she sings Oh Holy Night. I haven't seen anyone doubt Florence's talent, but if anyone does check those songs out. It may make some wonder why she didn't make it as a solo artist. Bad material, management, maybe her heart wasn't into it then, who knows?

  • I urge all my fellow Flo fans to think about what you are saying. Flo, even in the end considered Diana Ross a friend. This is by Flo's own admission and actions. If you want to honor Flo, then honor Diana Ross. Flo said,"I give Diane all the credit in the world". Flo and Diana were both talented, it's just that the former fell by the wayside. Flo still lives through the solo album she has given us and through the Supremes.

  • As far as Diana, I honestly don't think her relationship with BG can account for 12 (18 total) #1 hits and millions of records sold. Sex can't sell albums. That's something I had to come to grips with. Diana had the voice to push the Supremes to international success. With Flo at lead I think the Supremes would have been an R&B success, but not the pop success that BG was craved. Flo didn't have a problem with Diana being lead singer, she hated being pushed by BG further and further back.

  • Guys, if you think you are honoring Flo's name by shooting nasty comments about Diana you are wrong. Flo didn't have much in the way negatively to say about Diana. She even said that Diana was a better friend than Mary. She called Diana a week before she passed just to say hello and to see how she was doing. I love Flo with everything in me, and I so wish she hadn't given up on herself or her solo career. But what we have is her music, both as a solo artist and with the Supremes.

  • bigbear69cacaeater, wonderboyjoybitethepillowfacedown ,ParaFucYou, OnLineMenstruation your constant slander about anyone that's not a Diane"the whore" Ross aficionado is laughable.

No, DetroitLives and me thou we are in the same Mary Wilson Fan Club we're not the same person, KurtSupreme, Sinclair, and others because we know Diane's DECEIT and will forever make it public we are the enemy, we welcome the debate always.

Diane Ross is a piece of SHIT!

  • @TWTR4EVER excuse me, but your comments are far more slanderous! we come here because we are interested in florence, but then we read shit pushed by the florence was wronged mob. i don't think anyone is being hateful towards florence. we hate the hatred you spew at diana. florence didn't make it. she made mistakes as we all do. she was not brilliant otherwise she would have been equal to diana. mary tried to make it too but she pretty much bombed...a few early hits in the very early 70's.

  • hey TWTR what is all this reference to ROSSMANIA??? Florence was great in the supremes. no-one disputes that. you are the poisonous one. to the point that you need to see someone about it before you are taken away.

  • @bigbear39ca You fat stankin Welland , Ontario Canada hoodrat. You don't know shit and that becomes clearer with each and every comment you pull outta of your fat , lazy , bitter ass and post here. Spend your days sitting around here hating on the glorious Mary Wilson, while she is out there getting richer by the day!

  • @DetroitLives313 This bigbear69cacaeater is a "Canadian Tundra Outhouse Dweller!" (soon to be released autobiography)

His constant bashing of any Supreme that's not Diane Ross is an insult to rational intelligence.

Gee, we all know by now the results of the sexual alliance of Berry & Diane that made her the permanent lead, that change the group from FEMALE TRIO to LEAD & BACKUP SINGERS and used The Supremes as the platform and stepping stone for Diane's solo career!

  • they saved the best for last this girl takes me back to the sixties

  • the good for last

  • @bigbear69cacaeater..Lol.. Get a life, your prolonged periods of existence at the URBAN TUNDRAS OF CANADA are affecting your psychic!

I for one suffered the Diana Ross assault last 11/21/10 here in Florida at "Hard Rock Live GAMBLING HALL"..Lol.. capacity 5600 an OLDIES REVIVAL VENUE, she stunk!

No I was not "Kicked Out" but I have the satisfaction of requesting, time and time again at the encore for "STONED LOVE"

    Diane's face priceless!

  • @bigbear39ca i agree

  • @bigbear39ca he worries the heck out of me. he seems crazed. i think of chapman/lennon when i read his messages. i worry.

  • That Florence Ballard was rebellious? I applaud her for it, that along Diane's "bullying" and "trampling" through the TRIOS FORMAT gave some of "bitch slaps" well deserved, I APPLAUD & BOW for Florence, may God have her on his glory!

Now for all of you to come a twist the events for the benefit of Diane's "solo legacy" that's not only in question, but is one of the bunch now?

The Supremes legacy is THE SUPREMES, not Diane Ross!

    Get it?

Diane alone will never have a claim to it!

    Mary made sure!

  • FACTS NOT FICTION!

That Florence Ballard was ousted from THE SUPREMES back in 1967/68 after she confronted Diane & Berry with their alliance and the changes (DR &THE SUPREMES) coming a FACT, that Mary Wilson remained neutral and when by contact knew she also could be replaced and did what she had to do, still been the catalyst that held them together a FACT, that Diane Ross & Berry Gordy use them as a platform for Diane's solo career HISTORY, and that will never be changed!

    Any more clarifying?

  • Comment removed

  • wonderboyjoybitethepillowfacedown you can make all the claims you want, you're still a "ROSSMANIA CLONE' your footprints are all over The Supremes You Tube Videos.

    What reality is that?

    The garbage you been spewing?

People bought & still buy those 3 WONDERFUL GIRLS, THE SUPREMES!

Diana fronted those solos because she was in bed with the boss, he made her a star, she was force fed to us by his marketing, publicity machine, the same that sabotage Florence after she left!

  • @TWTR4EVER of course people still buy the music...where have i said that i do not like the supremes? thank god diana did what she did. the supremes had 12 number ones because of it. her backup singers are remembered because diana scruffed the boss and recorded hit music. they should kiss the ground she walks on.

  • @wonderboyjoy You most think people are stupid?

Diane's trajectory, behavior, demeanor, actions all lead to Diane, her self serving quest to create her "solo glirzy mirage" that you and your ilk work so hard to elevate and validate, to no avail I'll point out!

The mirror screen is down, her charade is up and all of her undoings, backstabbing, conning, deceitful web is unraveling as we speak!

Diane once walk away from THE SUPREMES, today might be all she's got!

  • @TWTR4EVER Yay! I love solo glitzy mirages! That is the theme of my "Love Room"

  • Dear Supremes fans, please take note of Wonderboyjoybitepillowfacedown & bigbear69cacaeater together with ParaFucYou and OnLineEmbezler they patrol any other Supremes site that's not Diane "THE TRAMP" Ross to spread their brand of filth and misinformation, take them on, expose them for what they are and have no mercy!

  • @TWTR4EVER excuse me...you are the only one on here spreading filth, slander and hatred. i am just stating observations. you lower it to slander and pottymouth crap. florence was great in the supremes. no one is disputing that. but history has it that she went nowhere after 1967. i do not care how that came to be. it is a fact. best voice is an opinion. take it or leave it. diana made those 12 hit number one with her lead voice and confidence.

  • @bigbear39ca Diane Ross "cross over" potential was in between the sheets that she shared with her Motown boss Berry Gordy!

Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson & Betty McGlown were already PRIMETTES before Eddie Kendricks & Paul Williams former PRIMES / TEMPTATIONS introduce and brought THE TROYAN HORSE named Diane Ross into the group that most have been blowing already those two Temptations before later targeting Berry!

A WHORE, IS A WHORE IS A WHORE!

  • @TWTR4EVER and diana new smokey who got them an interview with berry. don't forget to mention that.

  • @wonderboyjoy This BS of Smokey and his introduction to Berry Gordy go peddle that to the foolish & ignorant like you, THE PRIMETTES / THE SUPREMES became known to Motown trough THE PRIMES / THE TEMPTATIONS, next you and your ilk will be peddling that THE TEMPTATIONS were also proteges of Smokey? Go fly a kite, they were the competition to Smokey's Miracles that like Diane he dispose also when they had served him for his solo career!

Go back to the ROSSMANIA BOWEL OF HELL were you dwell!

  • @wonderboyjoy You are stupid. Robert Bateman had already brought the Primettes to Berry's attention! Diane screwing Claudette's husband did not get them signed to Motown!

  • @DetroitLives313 thank god she did something because mary and florence were going nowhere with their lineup. thank god diana was vocal, obnoxious, confident, sexual etc etc. not a problem with florence in the supremes. she was great. it was after the supremes she was not so great.

your recollection of what really happened is also heresay. we all read the same things. that does not make it truth. onlyyyour side of the story is the truth? i don't think so.

  • @TWTR4EVER slander

  • Comment removed

  • @wonderboyjoy Slander?

    Take me to court!

We got plenty of people to subpoena!

She'll love that, we'll get it all out in the open once and for all!

  • thank you big bear. i have acknowledged that it is a given that florence was talented and was great in the supremes to give them a 'rounded' sound. she was more talented than mary. mary was the 'sexy one'.

  • Florence was superb! :Love her version of this classic.

  • wonderboyjoybitethepillowfacedown you and Diane are the garbage on the city dump that scavenging birds feed off!

Think twice before coming to Florence Ballards memory with your vile ROSSMANIA antics!

    Florence Ballard, THE SUPER SUPREME,

    Mary Wilson THE QUINTESSENTIAL SUPREME,

    Diane Ross THE POISON SUPREME!

  • @TWTR4EVER With a name like "Wonderboyjoy", you know what he is about! LOL!

  • @DetroitLives313 yes, we know, "wonderboyjoybitethepillowfacedown" is a "ROSSMANIA FLYING MINION"

  • @TWTR4EVER grow up

  • @wonderboyjoybitethepillowfacedown get a life!

You take your garbage back to the You Tube Garbage dump, THE DIANE ROSS VIDEOS!

  • @DetroitLives313 wonderboyjoy claims he's born in 1957?

    JOY?

Joy of Botox, Sculptar and butt lifts the silly bottom!

  • @TWTR4EVER he sounds like a freak to me.

  • Comment removed

  • @DetroitLives313 A freak is putting it mildly?

wonderboyjoybitethepillowfacedown together with Igor (Dr. Frankenstein assistant) and The Hunchback Of Notre Dame are Diane Ross new Andantes!

  • @TWTR4EVER hehehehehe......!

  • @TWTR4EVER at least i have stuck to the arguements. you have run out so now you are name calling??? grow ,up.

  • @wonderboyjoy You have no argument, you're merely insulting the memory of a dead Icon, belittling the memory of an Iconic group THE SUPREMES to insidiously promote a SEX FOR STARDOM SELF INDULGED BACKSTABBING CONNING BETRAYING DECEITFUL Diane Ross!

    Me grow up?

How about you crawling back to the HELL HOLE you belong?

  • @TWTR4EVER once again, grow up.

  • @wonderboyjoy Once again fully grown but never to be "bamboozled by any ROSSMANIA spin and misinformation" that's peddled by you and your kind!

All this Diane worshiping works between the roams of your ilk as you all inbreed in the same fantasies you try to promulgate!

  • @TWTR4EVER man you are a nutter of the highest order. florence was great in the supremes. this song here is ok at best. as a supremes fan i have every right to come here and comment. and i will never be as low as to slander and threaten like you do. you are childish in your delivery as you have resorted to personal insults. you say all those rotten things about diana, never once looking at how ridiculous and psychotic you appear to be. you say diana is nasty etc etc. you are inferior. grow up.

  • @DetroitLives313

One thing is obvious about wonderboyjoy and others whose pattern is clear and in every other of The Supremes material in You Tube are there to promote Diana Ross and her insidious ploy that ruin the group for her advantage!

  • @DetroitLives313 The multidimensional unique characteristic The Supremes had was its diversity of sound, personality & looks, by Diana imposing her agenda (Berry Gordy's pants) she achieved her solo career by stifling Florence & Mary, keeping them as bookends and not showcasing their talent!

  • @DetroitLives313 - not rue there was no denying not even on Mary's part that it was Diana who pushed the group forward and it was Diana with the drive who fought to keep the group moving forward. That being said Florence had a beautiful ovice

  • @DetroitLives313 , And without Diana, they wouldn't have become internationally famous and successful

  • @SpazChat Diane was lucky that Florence and Mary asked her to join their group. They didn't need no Diane Ross. You see what happened when they got Jean Terrell. They became more popular.

  • @DetroitLives313 FLORENC HAD A GOOD VOICE.

  • @castalia60able She had a beautiful voice. They just didn't always record her right. Give a listen to her recordings of "Silent Night" and "Oh Holy Night", They'll give you chills!

  • @TWTR4EVER oooooooo that hurts.

  • @bigbear39ca what psycholigical and emotional issues....she was a saint....don't you read what her fans said????

  • this record reminds me of when she was going out of her head cause of that bullshit she was going through it was prophetic singing that song she song that song for a reason she sang that song rest in peace beutiful one

  • tttt

  • diane could sing nice high voice but could not touch flo she know it

  • good cover

  • shes thegreatest singer in the world you just tryin to make us mad as hell

  • shes the

  • i mean dam, the woman cud sing her ass off, she was da one who started the group the supremes, but it was diana's voice the caught everybodies heart and soul, flo had a beautiful voice rich and strong but she had her problems, after she was raped she kinda fell back and let depression control her, i dnt care im not taking anything away from flo nor the supremes, the all could sing.

  • @keturah007 the trouble is, people here are trying to rewrite musical history. they could all sing and they combined greatly. flo founded the group, flo was a saint, flo was diddled, flo just wanted to be with the kids, flo was not fat, flo was raped, flo this, flo that. for god sake how many excuses do people want for flo's behaviour??? we all read the same books and articles but when we listen to a supremes song its diana's voice we hear - good or bad or otherwise.

  • @wonderboyjoy I think the trouble here is you and for what I have read twtr4ever already told you what to do, shut up!

  • @MusicInFlight007 no the trouble is you guys believing florence was anything other than a dud in her last years. post 1967...dud. happy listening to these mediocre songs from a mediocre album. florence was great in the supremes...and i mean that. she was great in the supremes and that's her lot. cherish it. its all you have.

  • @wonderboyjoy The trouble is us guys?

Because we recognize the value of Florence Ballard as LEAD of The Supremes?

When she caught on to Diane & Berry's little game she was ousted from the group!

Berry/Motown's legalities on the release of her contract had her not been able to even publicly make use of her tenure with THE SUPREMES to promote herself!

They railroad the woman out of the industry!

You go tell Diane & Berry the charade is over!

It's all out on the open and they are accountable!

  • @wonderboyjoy all I can say, twtr4ever clock you right, very "Lady Gaga Speechless" no doubt!

Florence Ballard was the heart and soul of The Supremes until Berry & Diana got together and it became more than professional, that's was Diana's only advantage because it was not her voice range, she's mediocre at that! (floozy)

The Original Supremes will always be Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, Betty McGlown & Diana Ross, after all of Diana's transgressions I would put Barbara Martin before her too!

  • @wonderboyjoy You have no taste and no understanding of great music which Florence delivers here !

  • @wonderboyjoy

The trouble is you and the rest of the Diana Ross devotees (I seen your confrontations with others pushing your agenda) coming to Florence Ballard who by now is finally given the credit Diana Ross & Berry Gordy robed from her, how they changed the format of the group to create a platform for Diana Ross SOLO career!

How you and the garbage that follows you insults the image of a dead Icon!

You're out of line, wrong & a disgrace!

  • @wonderboyjoy Nobody here is "rewriting musical history"? YOU ARE, Diane/Berry for years have bee feeding us the BS that's no longer believable as the truth always surfaces. You can tell Diane & Berry and the rest of their scummy minions like you that because of what they pulled her legacy is being question. Not only Mary Wilson, people within Motown and the industry are coming forward corroborating the true facts so take your ROSSMANIA LIES somewhere else were you might be able to fool people!

  • @TWTR4EVER no, if you throw enough mud it sticks and that is what has happened with this whole diana/florence thing. mud has been thrown at diana and now some people believe it as truth. i liked florence in the supremes. she was good.

  • mary and her are loser's! she sounds like crap,oh god my ears are burning !

  • very nice - great photos too. she has a new major motion picture of her life coming out next year.

  • flo was the most beautiful of all the supremes, even the ones nobody can remember!

  • Diane became the lead of the not for her singing but of her ability to be controlled by Berry Gordy. Flo wouldn't let him control the group when she was lead so to take control of the group he had to get rid of Flo. Her antics just played right into Berry's hands and made his job of firing her easier. Diane also helped it along by sleeping with Berry. Diane does not have a strong voice. She seems to be singing out of her nose. Diane was easy to manipulate while Florence wasn't.

  • @mizlili23 My sentiments exactly. If Flo had the same support at ABC as Diana had at Motown, Flo would have been one of the greats. Flo didn't play. In her interview she said,"I don't dance to no ones tune." That's why I love her so much. She was sassy, had a sense of humor, beautiful, extremely sexy, classy, had a great voice, she was just all of that. I think Diana may have been a little intimidated by her. Anyway, Flo will always be great, and will always be my favorite Supreme.

  • @terrybigteekemp some could read what you are saying as...she had no idea about life or show business and that is why she didn't get anywhere. why didn't she get support from ABC? she was as tempermental as diana, maybe more so.

  • @wonderboyjoy nope not what I meant at all. But, Diana did make the decision to learn more about the business, and I will admit, she was probably MORE serious than the others about her career. That's not to say that Flo wasn't serious or ambitious either. Her ambition meant nothing to Gordy as he already knew what direction he was going to take the group. In other words, it's time to take a back seat to Diana. Flo wasn't having any of that because she was about the group, not about an individual

  • @wonderboyjoy Show business is a very greedy business, and in order to make it to the top, you have to be greedy and "play the game". Flo chose not to. Does that mean she wasn't smart? NO! To say that would be to say Marvin Gaye (who was dead broke for years according to his biography), or David Ruffin weren't smart, and both of those guys knew the business but just didn't want to play the game. Ross was a victim of the Motown machine herself. No more money than Flo when she left Motown.

  • @terrybigteekemp she wasn't smart. she ended up dead at 32 on a 'comeback' yeh right. that fits the myth perfectly. people tried to help florence. she was not smart enough to take advice. oh that's right, she was too 'proud'. I am here because i thought florence was ok. i like her songs but they are not brilliant. she did ok and that was that. people like a tragedy. enjoy the music. but florence is gone and only not forgotten because of the tragedy of her persona.

  • @wonderboyjoy Well, I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

  • @terrybigteekemp yeh. have a good day. no offences meant.

  • @wonderboyjoy See why are you bring Florence down? Diana did her best to help Flo, but TOMMY got in the way. If you want to bring someone down, go to a Mary Wilson video.

  • @RedRoosterRoad i am not trying to bring her down...its reality. people trying to dredge stuff up. she had her carreer. it ended. enjoy the music but there is no more and that's the facts of it. i enjoy the supremes in all their glory. florence was part of all that. no-one disputes that but it is all history now.

  • @wonderboyjoy But when you say things like "only not forgotten because of the tragedy of her persona." Your going to get a responce because it's not true. Anybody, who has ever heard of the supremes will know of her. Not because she died but because she was in a group that was world widely famous.
