  • This is how Ska ought to sound. I'm going to see these guys in about 2 hours.

  • tis well good...

just started getting in2 ska recently

  • From their first album produced by "Stanley Turpentine" aka Joe Jackson !!

  • yessssssssssssss

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!111

  • This is Grand!

I would like to see someone krump to this without getting skanked off the stage.

  • lol Krump

  • wtf krumping at a toasters show?

  • This song introduced me to The Toasters and is still my favorite, but Voodoo Glow Skulls (look them up. They're not very well known but are great) introduced me to ska in general.

  • Voodoo Glow Skulls is Brilliant man! Nice Taste!

  • there okay but i did see them in concert in gainesville florida

  • voodoo help me get into ska. but originally it was madness and the specials

  • voodoo glow skulls not my fave but still the shit you got taste my freind

  • The early toasters stuff sound is great. Like the recrimnations EP pool shark album and thrill me up LP. After that they turned into a yeti's cartoon band. Horrible!

  • yes

  • Stay Rude!! ((M)) .:Skaboss:.

  • I must admit bands like the Toasters got me into ska, but now looking back I really couldn't stand them. But I must give them credit for introducing me to this genre in my teens. Now I can't get enough of the classic sound and history and the more traditional bands playing today.

  • If you like the classics, why can't you stand these guys anymore? It's pretty much just British 2-Tone but with a bit more R&B and a bit less reggae. Besides, they're classics themselves! Been around way longer than all those Reel Big Fish/Planet Smashers hacks who made ska little more than a novelty to most people.

  • I love you for saying that! I can not stand Streetlight Manifesto. They make one song about a man contemplating suicide and all the little girls buy that shit up. Ska is not supposed to be sad. It's joyful!

  • >:( Streetlight is amazing. You cant classify a genre by what its "supposed" to be. Music is meant to be innovated. So Streetlight has added a much needed serious aspect after the dominating frat boy attitudes of RBF and Sublime. Not to mention Streetlight has one of the best horn sections and really quality music. The best artists are always the innovators, are you gonna tell Beck to play normal alternative like he should?

  • Hey man don't go bashing Streetlight for their style. First of all, they're not a ska band, they were a 3rd wave ska band back when most of them were in Catch 22. But streetlight is something totally different. Secondly, they're amazing, and i've seen them live 3 times, That being said, I agree that the classics are great and mostly better than the new stuff, but I wouldn't call ska a novelty nowadays. I think it just seems that way because, well, nobody really cares about ska anymore :(

  • of course it is possible to like both bands.

  • my elbows where my hands are

AND MY ARMS RIGHT WHERE MY FACE IS

  • I don't know if I heard it wrong but I thought he said "my ass is right where my face is"

  • fuckin awesome

  • two tone skaskaska!!

  • I love The Toasters :)

  • thanks for all the toasters videos!

  • Great band! I love their songs.

  • wow

  • haha stupid space ship

  • nice song!
