First off... there is no such thing as innocence on this earth. Therefore the old argument that God should have cured so and so... is formed from flawed logic. At best... we are going to plead and get God's attention with "the hope" that He will be moved by our request and act on it.

I agree with what is said in the video but it doesn't answer the overall question. Many "bad" things happen that have nothing to do with the sin of the individual they may happen to. A pregnant woman walking down the street who gets jumped by gang members and killed by having her baby cut out of her may be one example(this has actually happened). Perhaps you might answer these "bad" things that happen.
I am a follower of Christ. My point was that i believe its deeper than what you are saying. For instance, Isaiah 54:16 "Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy." This makes reference to God having a greater purpose for evil and the destroyer existing.. Evil exists in order that man might know God. The tree of knowledge not only granted a knowledge of evil, but also of Good.
We can sin and fall any time in *our own* lives. We could be the one who sinned and broke our relation with God, and in fact we do it every day. You misapplied the second law of thermodynamics, it deals with increasing entropy in a closed, isolated system, we do not exist in a closed system. The Earth is not deteriorating over time, it goes under a continuous process of erosion and reformation, decay, recombination and rebirth. If the Earth just 'deteriorated' there would be no life at all.

God didn't punish the children. The sin is generational by nature. There called generational curses. EX Mom was crazy when she was a teen. Hooked up with a bad kid. God pregnat. Bad kid left. Result mom is way strict w her child to make sure it doesn't happen to her kid. Because she's so strict, the child rebells and the same cycle happens again. NOBODY can obey the whole law. It's impossible and that's the point.
That's why Jesus had to do it for us and we're able to ride his coattails into a restored relationship with God.
We now live in the New Testament where the grace of God reigns supreme and we don't have to kill each other for breaking the law.

Good question...
The answer is, that the sabbath was part of the old covenant(before Christ) and subject to the fulfillment of the prophecy(concluded). However... when Jesus gave the new Christian Laws(Law of Christ), the issue of homosexuality was maintained within those laws.
Therefore the Mosaic laws(ie. Sabbath) are no longer in effect.

There are plenty of people who have had prayers answered(divine intervention). Though(to my knowledge), they seems to be localized events. Whatever the case.... there are enough experiences to conclude that God doesn't grant every wish either.
And what about the method?
According to the scriptures... there are very specific terms to being heard.

Did the person praying, pray accordingly? Was it a compelling request?
Lets get one thing out in the open here. It's up to humans to condition themselves to seek help from God not the other way around. Having said that... if those persons exercised faith in God(as instructed) then they would receive the help the needed(no excuses necessary). It is just that simple.

1. God does not come to people, they come to Him(makes sense?).
2. We have all we need to approach Him(bible, instructions etc).
3. It is up to us(collectively) to see that we do all we can do to help ourselves.

My take on it is simply this... Jesus set the stage for things to come when he was on earth. And what he demonstrated was that compassion was the key to getting God's attention. However... take note... even Jesus prayed all night for something did he not? Therefore, there can no doubt that proper protocol and faith play a major role in the outcome or divine intervention. Since the outcome is not determined by God insofar as it is of human conditioning.

Even the Apostles didn't get all of there prayers answered(see Paul). Having said that, it's nearly impossible to say why a certain prayer or request was denied(how to know?). We can however look into such cases objectively and ask ourselves whether or not the requests were done properly first and foremost. Which would be of the greatest importance.

I agree with what is said in the video but it doesn't answer the overall question. Many "bad" things happen that have nothing to do with the sin of the individual they may happen to. A pregnant woman walking down the street who gets jumped by gang members and killed by having her baby cut out of her may be one example(this has actually happened). Perhaps you might answer these "bad" things that happen.

I am a follower of Christ. My point was that i believe its deeper than what you are saying. For instance, Isaiah 54:16 "Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy." This makes reference to God having a greater purpose for evil and the destroyer existing.. Evil exists in order that man might know God. The tree of knowledge not only granted a knowledge of evil, but also of Good.

We can sin and fall any time in *our own* lives. We could be the one who sinned and broke our relation with God, and in fact we do it every day. Becoming saved is about restoring that relationship :) He has offered us redemption through giving his son to pay the price - and if we take it, we are offered a new world and greater things :) That's... my explanation :)

You misapplied the second law of thermodynamics, it deals with increasing entropy in a closed, isolated system, we do not exist in a closed system. The Earth is not deteriorating over time, it goes under a continuous process of erosion and reformation, decay, recombination and rebirth. If the Earth just 'deteriorated' there would be no life at all.

Except the evidence of the Earth being continuously shaped, eroded and reformed is all around us. As is the evidence for an open system, the most simple part of which can be witnessed by looking up at the sky during the day, you can't miss it but don't look too long or it will damage your eyes.

No one said the Earth is eternal, the Earth is dynamic. If you are curious for an example about how the Earth is shaped and reformed, look up "Plate Tectonics". Reformed doesn't be the entire planet is re-created, it just means that new geological features are created (such as raising mountains such as the Himalayas).

I'm sorry but when you have a holy book with ridiculous myths that we know are not true (age of the earth, great flood etc..) it's very probable that this god doesn't exist, it's very easy to discard that religion really. Now, that doesn't mean there is no god as that is unprovable, but we can have good guesses about religions, and so far they're all just myths.
