What's wrong with the first decision? The second one is fair enough as it was very close according to hawk eye (technology Indians claim to be not accurate 100% of the time) and the third one was unlucky but you do get those. Again if you refuse to use DRS then shutup and stop complaining. Indians would have to be by far the biggest whingers in cricket.

India don't want the review system for two reasons. One reason is so they can blame the umpire for bad decisions when they get beat. The second is the umpire will naturally favour India in close decisions because the umpire knows that unlike other teams the Indian team are a bunch of crybabies and will ask their board to try to get the umpire sacked if they make a bad decision against them
Umpires shouldn't be able to umpire in a game involving their nationality. Dharmasena is Sri Lankan so he might of given them out to help his team win. Not fair.

i think all three are 100% right decisions. when an umpire is standing there, he has to decide within 1,2 seconds...the first decision was 100% accurate, in the 2nd one, ball was missing just a bit, so its ok..and 3rd one again 100% accurate....
@mour66, no the first decision is wrong because you cannot be given out if the ball is pitched outside leg stump, even if it is going to hit the stumps. I think the 3rd one was going down leg side but you cant blame the umpire they were close decisions

My friend, I said he respect the decision of umpire. I haven't watched any of his recent innings but I am sure he is struggling for his 100th century in the cricket career. @mrgnndhmk yeah, not having the DRS is a chance for India to cheat. What happened on day 1 of the first test between Aus and Ind was a disgrace. What a bunch of cheats Indians are. See them all go up when Hussey and Cowan got given out when there was no nick. There was absolutely no noise yet every Indian close to the bat when up as if they hit it to third slip. Practicing appeals to intimidate umpires is cheating. No wonder the Indians didn't want DRS. You can't bribe technology
@south6bt may be you didn't see the catch of Hussey clearly. It was a genuine shout for a clean catch. The umpire wasn't influenced by the players. Ed's was a clean edge. Poor hot spot technology didn't capture that. That was the disadvantage of hot spot not capable of capturing thin edges around the bat.
A ball touching down the ground was never a catch and for that Ponting would do the umpiring in 2008 test match ;).
@mrgnndhmk I saw India cheat yesterday and today. I don't need to say anything more than that, except they are a pack of cheats. Hussey thinking he took a catch and a bunch of Indian cricketers jumping up and down like morons when there is no nick noise is two different ball parks. If the Umpire DRS is fully introduced including LBW's, I believe it should only overturn very poor decisions. The first 2 LBW's were not really "Very poor LBWs". The umpire has got these two wrong (according to technology) by a very small margin. DRS should be there to overturn that 3rd decision.
But then, I'm sure that Tendulkar has got away with more LBW's than he's been wrongly pinged for.

i dont like the hawkeye things about pitching outside leg and playing outside the off etc. I think no matter where it pitches, has contact, played at a shot, if it spins back in or swings in it should be out, this is some of the reason why leg spin bowlers are a rare breed. This way of hawkeye would be true if the ball went through the pads. But are well, thats just my view.
Just to make it clear.. If the ball pitches outside of leg stump it can no longer be given out as LBW. Also umpires are only human...Mistakes are made by everyone

Of course they are going to make mistakes. You will find these kinds of decisions will even out with a positive or negative result, some you win some you lose. 1st decision was close, 2nd was difficult for the umpire because it had hit him on the back leg but the 3rd was quite clear that it was going down leg. We can only look back in hindsight with the hawkeye replays, but to the naked eye, the 1st and 2nd could easily be seen to be out. Unlucky for sachin, but DRS should clean this up, don't really think its a conspiracy
Its not the bowlers fault just 4 appealing for a close lbw descision and id like 2 see u umpire thats going past ur arm at 140kph or check to see if hes overstepiing and see if the delivary is a chuck.
The first one pitched a fly-poop outside leg stump. The umpire has to guess where the invisible line is in real time, even though the leg stump is obscured by the batsman.
The second one was missing leg stump by a fly-poop.
The third one was inconclusive but appeared to be going down the leg side.
Sachin copped three incorrect decisions but they were very close and don't really fall into the category of "poor umpiring".

@south6bt may be you didn't see the catch of Hussey clearly. It was a genuine shout for a clean catch. The umpire wasn't influenced by the players. Ed's was a clean edge. Poor hot spot technology didn't capture that. That was the disadvantage of hot spot not capable of capturing thin edges around the bat.
A ball touching down the ground was never a catch and for that Ponting would do the umpiring in 2008 test match ;).

3 poor shots, 2 iffy LBW's and the 3rd a shocker.
If the Umpire DRS is fully introduced including LBW's, I believe it should only overturn very poor decisions. The first 2 LBW's were not really "Very poor LBWs". The umpire has got these two wrong (according to technology) by a very small margin. DRS should be there to overturn that 3rd decision.
But then, I'm sure that Tendulkar has got away with more LBW's than he's been wrongly pinged for.

i dont like the hawkeye things about pitching outside leg and playing outside the off etc. I think no matter where it pitches, has contact, played at a shot, if it spins back in or swings in it should be out, this is some of the reason why leg spin bowlers are a rare breed. This way of hawkeye would be true if the ball went through the pads. But are well, thats just my view.

Third one was the biggest shocker, naked eye could see that all 3 stumps were visible.

1st decision was close, 2nd was difficult for the umpire because it had hit him on the back leg but the 3rd was quite clear that it was going down leg. We can only look back in hindsight with the hawkeye replays, but to the naked eye, the 1st and 2nd could easily be seen to be out. Unlucky for sachin, but DRS should clean this up, don't really think its a conspiracy

The first one pitched a fly-poop outside leg stump. The umpire has to guess where the invisible line is in real time, even though the leg stump is obscured by the batsman.
The second one was missing leg stump by a fly-poop.
The third one was inconclusive but appeared to be going down the leg side.
Sachin copped three incorrect decisions but they were very close and don't really fall into the category of "poor umpiring".

only 32 wins out of tendulka'rs 48 odi 100's for india ,that is just 60% winning,,, which normal match winning % for any team, but if u see players like jayasuriya, ponting or ghilcrist , every time they score 100 90% times they pull out wins for there teams, thats why they called match winners!

so jayasurya is match winner to u ohk no doubt he great player , how can u compare some one who has has 48 100s in around 450 matches and someone who has just 28 100s in those much matches....
still if u comparing pls 1st tell me how many 100s he scored against aus and SA , 0 100 against SA with avg just 20 and 2 100s against aus with avg just 20 now what king match winner is he when cant even score against these 2 best teams win is far off thing..

@kevin81851 and about ponting and gilchrist.... 1st see the kind of team they had than talk they always got support of other players when they score runs , 1st see the inngs of sachin in those loss matches how fight like a lone warrior for the team how many times these players has done that?
u want to him win single handidly when no other player even scoring 50 , how many times it happened to gilchrist or ponting? tell me what happened to ponting match winning abilities now?

@kevin81851 in last 4 years just 4 100s after retirement of those great players.... why he didnt able to win in qf after scoring 100....why aus lose?
just provide provide kinds of inngs sachin played of these players... when no other scored even a 50....

sachin 1st 25 100s.. won 21 loss 4....which is equal to jayasurya...
his 1st 30 100s... win 24 loss 6
ponting 30 100s win 25 loss 5 ...

@36pratham that's not a fair comparison,, u have to take all his 100s and compare how many times he finish in the winning side,u have not understand what was my argument , i know jayasuriya score only 2 100's and av 20s against the aussies& , but how many matches he won for SLvs Aus& SA,?compare with Ind.He can change the match within 15 overs, same with ghilcrist. most of tendulkars 100s agains aus & sa came in subcontinent flat wickets, he only score his 1st 100 in aus in the last tour!

@kevin81851 now man tell me how many players like ponting , gilchrist or jayasurya has played such kinds of inngs and won it for there team..... everytime scoring century when other scoring with and get support other offcourse will be at safe side.... nd for ur king info most of these inngs are among one of best odi inngs... now tell me if he wouldn't had played these wonder inngs and his tons will something 33 wins 5 loss like ponting with 38 or 39 100s... he would be more better?

@kevin81851 why its not fair comparision.... 1st of all his avg in aus is 38 which is far better than gilchrist carrier avg...
and out of his 10 100s against australia 5 a in india and 5 outside.... and tell me if indian grounds are so flat than why in all these matches sachin is the only player to score why he didnt get support of others why most of his 100s like that he alone scorin noone of other even scoring 50 why?
