@Karsynable well actually gigue is giygas, he didn't become giygas, he always WAS giygas, giygas has been corrupted by total insanity and pokey tries to control him. I'm pretty sure the point is that giygas feeds off fear and pokey was always an evil child; his childlike nature makes him seem innocent but he's symbolic for a pig, as his name is actually Porky.

If you want to look at it this way, Pokey was always about greed and always corrupted, only got more power as time progressed.

Earthbound had alot of stereotypes... I'm not sure I would call it racist, but whatever. It's because the song sounds Mexican and you find 3 guys wearing sombreros. Another stereotype is how the Arabic people in the game act. Americans eat hamburgers, pizzas, and all that other stuff. It had plenty of stereotypes in the game.
