  • he is perfect except the hair :(

    but still love it <3

  • looks like he has shorter Jin Kazama hair o.o

  • whats the polygon count at?

  • can i get the link

  • Not bad but you screwed a little with the hair at the back of his head

  • check my cloud strife video

  • would it be possible to use a model like this for a game ?

  • No, i don't think it would, this looks far too high poly.

  • Of course, it's possible, but this looks more like a cutscene model

  • @MaMastoast oh ok thanks

  • nice work. looks like him too

  • He has Goku hair. :P lol

    Nice model.

    ~Meg

  • I think that you shouldn't have made his hair so slicked back....

  • cool

  • Do you have MSN? I'd like to know how you went through with this model as Im starting myself.

  • I'm hella impressed with the improvements man!

  • thanks

    wait for more

  • what did u use to make the hair? u think u can do a tutorial?

  • i guess i'll make one... i should add more videos of my models too..

  • His head is shaped like Alien....

  • he looks more like noctis from Final Fantasy 13 O_o...xDD

  • ye, only witout the brownish hair

  • His hair is just a bit long in the back, and his face looks a little to old, like he looks like he's about 40.

    Haha

    Other than that, great job!

  • i'm just gonna make him again..

    third time's the charm :D

  • Haha good luck with it!

that wasn't bad at all though. 8)

  • Did you use 3ds Max?

  • yus

  • The stuff you need 2 fix:

    1)Hair (To dull)

    2)Neck (Is to shot)

    3)Cloth (Is to big)

    4)Post (Require an action pose)

5)Prop's (need something to make more interesting)

If this a demo reel you just need to rotate the model to let viewer see 360 degree of the model but not zoom in and zoom out. this make other people will get difficulty to view your model accurately. (refer other people demo reel to improve your's)

  • dude

the neck is definitely not too short.

  • @carboxyl Problem is that the collar is too large so his neck looks smaller than it is.

  • he kinda looks like noctis...but all in all thats pretty good! 5/5

  • Fix the hair, that's it.

  • PERFECT JOB!

  • :o really cool model of Cloud Strife great job carboxyl.

i like the face and the hair they look cool.

  • where can i download him at ?

  • his face is a lil...to macho-ish make it more feminish =p

  • bak hairs a bit long, but looks good

  • Really nice model.

Did you make this in 3d Max only or did you create the organic parts in lets say, mudbox or something?

  • this is just 3ds max.

i think im gonna remake it in zbrush.

  • Ok cool.

Any chance that you will make Noctis next? =D

  • I didn't know about him.. but i think i will.

  • i want to keep it

    :0

  • This is really good and it's a year old, do you think you could make one as high quality as in Advent Children and post it?

  • i guess...

  • thats badass, just fix his hair in the back a lil and tada.

  • what software is this?

    where can i get it?

  • good modeling

  • Your modelling is good, and so are your textures. I'm sure they're better now, but if I could give you one suggestion? Your camera movement is really fast and really erratic. You might try slowing it down a lot. Start with a 360 of the character and then random slow-shots either moving from top to bottom or vice-versa, getting in front and back shots.

  • Kickass dude, I'd love to see a tutorial on this or something... I've been meaning to base a character of mine off the basic style of Cloud's but no one likes sharing their stuff. If you wish to share with me, I'll give you full props, I only need it to see how I will do mine. But if no, at least let me know where you got your references from.

  • hi there did you use reference pictures to making your f*%$ing wicked design because i'm trying to design my own and if you remember where you got pictures from thanks

  • :P no answer yet huh?

  • wow, i am very impressed. Are you going to release this to the public or you made it just for yourself? I would love to play around with that model in 3ds max :P

  • uhh. i made that a while ago, and its not very good compared to what im capable of now.

  • Oh, ok. It looked pretty good in that video.

  • right now im making alucard from sotn :D

  • it looks like a KH2 rip to me ^^

  • i was looking at pics of the kh2 when i made it

  • thanks dude model is great, i rigged it myself though i noticed a few mistakes in your previous rig. works pretty good.

  • dude did you find it yet? cant start without it, everything else is ready :S

  • :A ur a great modeler XD

i got a crappy cloud strife model from turbosquid, only to practice animating tho. if i cud model like this it wud be sooo AWESOME!!

  • thats crazy XD. but it shouldnt have taken 5 hours to render. i just did an animation thats 550 frames long and it took less than an hour to render, and your computer is probably better than mine. but its probably becuz ur model is harder to render, i dunno.

    nice model btw.

  • thanks, i used skylight in 3ds max with light tracer cuz i was too lazy to set up good lighting that was also time saving. thats why it took so long to render. im making sephiroth now so check back , i will probably have put on a vid of him too.

  • thats the best cloud model iv seen XD.

    is it rigged?

  • yea

  • How fast does you PC have to be to make one like this?

  • my pc is moderate, but it still took like, 5 hours to render it. it had 400 frames. big companies use a technique called batch rendering, where a massive amounts of computers each render a different part of the whole project.
