Wow, I didn't anyone out there would have done this, but man you have brought back some memories, Thank you and Semper Fi. I was at Camp Schwab and Camp Hansen from 1988 to 1993. I not only miss the Marines but Okinawa, I seen all your videos of both camps and for me somethings look familar, but still they have made some improvements, not so much on Schwab, dear LORD, it is still the grunt paradise I see. I seen Dickey barracks and the paraloft and the SCUBA locker near the point, very cool.
@fatmasterslam I was there in 89-90 I remember Ricky Skaggs went to Camp Schwab to perform. I wanted to go but my platoon was on acb at the time. Alex Trubek came to hansen while i was there.
I was at Camp Hansen from 91-94 and at that time there were some of the older buildings. off base im sure nothing much changed, except for the bars. I heard that the kinville bars went from gate 1 to 2. In the early 90's all the bars were just at Gate 1... really had some amazing times during my tour. Semper Fi!

Camp Kinser is in the southern part of the island, on west side, south of Camp Foster [former US Army Camp Zukeran]. Camp Kinser is lots of warehouses and other logistics stuff now.
Was a Corpsman with the old 4/12 at Hansen in 70-71. Place has definetly changed

75-76 Club Newtown in Kinville one of the only head bars in town, jukebox had some great rock on it.

I was at Camp Hansen for a year from 1992 -1993. I miss it, Naha and Kinville. I was with 7th Comm Bn. Thanks so much.

You are welcome. I served with 7th Comm Bn at Camp Hansen from 1972-73. Nothing left of the old buildings from that era.

Refresh my memory. What part of the island was Camp Kinser on? Wasn't that a logistics base? I was at Schwab from 79 to 81.
