But sadly this isn't kali. Kali moves are different! Wesley snipes is practicing shotokan karate. also in shotokan they uses stick techniques, not only in Kali. But the moves are different, in kali they are shorter like boxing, in shotokan they are longer and not that complex than in kali. you can see that in the clips.
Kali is more effective... ;o) But i like that Blade (shotokan)-shit, although i practicing kali...
@xxmarauder It doesn't look anything like Shotokan to me. I'm certain there are no weapons in Shotokan for starters. The choreography was done by Jeff Imada, well known student of Dan Inosanto, in my video you can see lot's of panggamut style attacks, sinawallis, trankadas, disarms, you name it.
The one thing that deffinetly doesn't looks like Kali are the high kicks.
@marcosfenrir : Wesley snipes has the fourth dan in shotokan, but i think it's like in the bourne movies, a little bit of everything. i didn't know that the choreography was done by jeff imada! He has also made the one in the bourne movies! But seriously, that's no Inosanto Style or typical Kali...it's not what i am training, and i do inosanto kali. But anyways, i like the vid... ;o)
@marcosfenrir Being a 20 year student of Jeet Kune Do and Kali. And having worked with Jeff Imada, I must correct you. Jeff was ONLY responsible for the RESHOOTS on the FIRST Blade film. Which was basically the end sequence against the vampire guards and the Frost/Blade battle. Blade's fighting style for the trilogy was created by Stunt/Fight coordinator Jeff Ward (Blade 1&2), Clay Fontenot (Snipes stunt double), Wesley himself and Chuck Jeffreys (Blade 3).
Sikaran.. for high kicks....
