@shamino: all the 50 fugues by Maier are 'vocal', but in this period was a common practice to substitute or double the vocal part with instruments. I know the recording you have: they are incredible, and sing all the fugues, even those full of 'mistakes' and dissonances that Maier himself signals in his 'Errata Corrige' at the end of his book.

Grazie mille, contento che ti piaccia: è una delle Fughe più 'orecchiabili' di Maier, e tratta di un punto molto avanzato dell'Opera alchemica. Forse per questo anche la Musica è 'più pura', esente da asprezze...
