Pple sometimes say what exceptional talent Stevie has, thinking he just got it like that. I don't believe that, I think Stevie trained hard(but enjoyed that) and continuesly for this. Making it all the more respectable. For me, Stevie is the greatest musical figure in the American popular music culture(non-classical)(and of the artists who are known to the broader public).
@inqubeko There were other (famous) artists who had a similar level of artistic virtuosity but ultimately they almost all succumed by their own succes or lifestyle e.g. Hendrix or micheal Jackson. Stevie lasted much longer. This also shows what a psychological trial this level of succes must be on a person's life.
Omg those chords from 3:15=> 3:17. When I hear this whole concert, it gives me the feeling that Stevie was at the top of his life at this time. The quality of all the players of the band, the instruments used, Stevie in superb form. He just lost his sense of smell a year before in a car accident and yet despite of this he's stronger then ever. What an incredible will Stevie has. The will to live life at its fullest. Which requires a lot of perseverence but is ultimatly rewarding.
Stevie Wonder one of the absolute greatest song writers and vocal artist of our time.
