  • You could of showed how to do all that on your computer. i don't understand how to download.

  • @TDmillerproduction As I said in the video it is several hours of work. I couldn't "show" how to do it in any reasonable amount of time, and if I showed you it would not be a learning experience. This is an exercise in working with VS, GIT, and DeployTools the whole point is to fight through it and understand what an enterprise application is like.

  • I might try this! Like the RDP session on the TV.

  • I like python :)

  • Cool Video, think i'll try it out.

  • @kaneManonFire Acyually with awin7 you can do USB installs and even remote, so if you have a LAN connection its a great choice as long as you map remote drive & I would offer help and links but I am not looking to upset my fav genius but if he says OK, happy to assist.

  • Yo brandon, off the topic but i need your advice.I want to upgrade my desktop to windows 7 but the problem is it only has a CD drive not a DVD drive so i was wondering if i bought a external DVD drive and tried to upgrade it with that would it work or would it crap out on me when windows 7 dose a clean install on my desktop and wipes all the drives off of it. Or Could i download windows 7 and put it in a usb drive and upgrade trough that? Please get back too me

  • @kaneMANonFIRE I would consider doing the Windows 8 USB install method. DVD drives that present as CD USB Mass storage should work, but USB Stick with Windows 8 is easy. If you aren't already on windows 7 this would also save you buying a copy until windows 8 is final.

  • @BlackwaterOpsDotCom so you're saying i should install the windows 8 build and use that?

  • @kaneMANonFIRE It's free, and it is designed to install with out media, I don't know enough about your use to say for certain, but I am running windows 8 with the start menu "hack" (i have video on it) and I can't tell much if any difference from windows 7 in my day to day operations other than it is slightly faster and crashes less.

  • I already have a completely custom build browser based on webkit but I actually built it as a test because I was bored and now I have it so that i can brag that I have my own browser, I don't actually use it. I am now working on an application (built in java) that organizes carpooling but I don't know if I should also develop it for mobile platforms, since I have nothing better to do at the time. What's your opinion?

  • Good Reasons to run Chromium. Interesting reasons to customize it. I'm running Chromium right now I'm just not sure how adventurous I feel like being right now. Nice video as usual though.

  • @TheRaceforTech As a project this is something someone could do to really see what enterprise code looks like. This is a BIG bit of code that you could play without too much worry if it went wrong.

  • @BlackwaterOpsDotCom Fair Point. I may have to add it to my to do list after I finish the ITunes U class I'm listening too.
