I have a question. Why is it that even though I have 100 sneak with all the perks and wearing dark brotherhood armor, I still get detected by some npcs? Its so annoying! Whenever im about to backstab them they somehow detect me!

*TIP*- get the perk "backstab" under sneak. It will make one-handed weapons do x6.0 dmg when hidden, and join the dark brotherhood to get shrouded gloves (x2.0 dmg from backstabs) so your dmg output is now x12.0. If you want to completely maximize your dmg output to level sneak higher, get the assassin perk at lvl 50 sneak to make daggers do x15.0 dmg while hidden. Wear the shrouded gloves to do x30.0 dmg. It works, and levels you up; fast.

at the very start of the game when u have to snek up on the bear in the cave u can do the same thing with ralof if u use daggers to hit him while u sneak goes by alot faster and if u set the options to master his health goes down a lot slower takes like 10 minits to reach level 18

you can do this to hadvar before you finish the tutorial thing when you get to the part with the bear in the cave just sneak attack hadvar if you try and do it before the bear its hard because he keeps moving away from you but at the bear part he will stay close to you and you can keep attacking him I got 100 sneak in like 30mins doing that. :) (Dont kill the bear though)

I've got about 88 Sneak skill points right about now. I improved it without having any glitches approved. It can be improved so very easily. I can kill a whole Fort without being detected, any they'll just notice that they are getting lesser one-by-one everytime. It is awesome.

I've got a 30X Sneak Damage everytime I succeed in a Stealth-Attack. Once I stabbed a Blood Dragon in the back - half of its life gone - on Adept level.

Best method is at the very beginning, go with hadvar let him unbound ur hands then if he ask u to get items from the chest DONT instead let him face the gate and stab him *my trick is everytime he speaks stab him on the back ofc* be sure to trap him/let him be stucked in 1 place so that he wont move everytime u hit him, and there u go.

Yeah the graybeards are good for this or for someone invincible in the hall of countenance at the college of winterhold go crouch next to the distruction chick (can't remember her name) at night as she she sleeps and attack, she won't react or notice you until you kill her then she just falls out of bed stands up and hops back in, all you have to worry about is making sure nobody happens to walk past the door which since it is the middle of the night they very rarely do

If you do it with the grey beards you won't have to worry about being caught! Also if you use healing hands to heal them you can get about level 70 restoration

@bertsteerswimmer Just tried it, got about 20 levels and then Arngier froze my ass and tried to kill me. I left for awhile and he did the same, had to start over from save point I made right before trying it :/. I didn't try the healing hands thing though, that's a great idea. Just pointing out that he will eventually kill your ass, so save your game every couple of levels people!

@Lunartears00 Yeah, you can only hit them till you are spotted or fall over! and the only reason i used restoration was because im a mage and i need 60 restoration to get 50% faster magicka regen. but yeah dont let them spot you or they will attack.

Thanks good tip.. I got alot of levels in sneak... Be patient.. He takes a set pattern just watch.. As soon as he goes to the cooking pot lakeside you are not detected and hidden.. Sneak up and start swinging.. Pace your swings on him and do again until he walks somewhere else in the house...

Somehow I got this idea to try this up with my follower. I have Uthgerd the Unbroken as my follower and at anytime I just get her to wait for me, I went behind her and attack her while I was sneaking and it works. :)

Theres a much better way... Go to the Greybeards.. and do the same trick.. they wont disapear and u can spam ur attacks while sneaking... Drop the sword and use a dagger instead.. ull reach 100 in sneaking within 30mins.. have fun :)

@christreeborn the dragon up at The Throat of The World method does in fact work. It takes about 3 hits to lvl up to next rank. at lvl 55ish it takes more hits

best method: go to the monks temple wich teach you how to shout, skean behind them and hit them with a dagger 3 times, wait around 7 seconds and repeat. got level 100 skill in 30 minutes

Alternatively you could follow him down the stairs, wait for him to walk up then backstab him while he is climbing the stairs, causing him to fall right back down.

100% effortless and repeatable. He'll never end up finishing the path he is trying to walk but the proximity is the exact same. Thanks for the guide!
