  • do you have to have candy melts instead can i use hershys choco chips??

  • thanks alot this helped me improve my cake pops alot

  • Great video tutorial... I really like the variety of cake pops.

  • OMG!!! This is a great video, thanks so much for sharing!!! and I thought I had to go out and buy one of those cake pops makers. Thank you!!!

  • THE CREATOR OF CAKE POPS

  • Serious cakes complemented you in her cake pops video. :D

  • @missstaceyb89 thanks you sooo. Much I have always wondered what they are thanks !!! X

  • so boring.. steph the producer from crumb boss is the best!

  • What are candy mets I come from the uk WHAT R THEY!!!!!!!!!

  • @MizzenSisters candy melts are basically coloured choc buttons, there vanilla flavour i think, you can get them in hobby craft. and also ebay. the ones ive seen are called milton candy melts. :-)

  • My cake pops fell off the stick when I dipped it, how come? Thx!

  • @missdancelover82 try freezing for a couple hours after forming the balls. The first time I made them, and didn't freeze them, they kept falling off

  • @missdancelover82 Before dipping it in the chocolate you get a lollipop stick and dip the tip a bit and put it half way into the cake ball, let it sit for about 10 the chocolate will act as glue and will keep the cake ball up.

  • When I made it

  • how much frosting??

  • @TheCyCshow

Don't know if you ever got the answer, but it's 2 Cups frosting or one container of 16oz pre-made frosting.

  • I LOVE YOUR KITCHEN

  • Just how the Kitchen looks makes me want to watch this haha

  • DO YOU SELL THEM....? HOW MUCH PER POP?

  • Hi...How much frosting do you use?...thanks

  • why am i turned on?

  • Could you use wooden skewers as a sub for lollipop sticks?

  • @glitterystars77 i used wooden skewers and it work out fined(:

  • whats the name of candy cooding in spanish??

  • no top comment my time to shine cool

  • whenever i do this the melting wafers are cooled down while the cake pops are setting with the pop stick but when i but the pops into the wafers then come off and it stresses me out HELP

  • monotone lol BUT its really gooodd!

  • bakerella is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • iidky i pictured bakerella looking waaaaay different o.O

  • just WHERE do you get candymelts in germany -.-

  • @LeaLikesIcecream i dont know about germany specifically, but i'm in canada and find them at bulk food stores or at bakery supply shops....hope you find some!

  • can you plzz answer this question its crucial????can u use a mixer to mix the cake instead of a spoon? plz get back by feb5

  • @bakercake2012 of course you can it doesnt change anything

  • @bakercake2012 Yes you can use a mixer with no problem

  • I don't know what I'm doing wrong but mine always fall off the stick into the chocolate or when I'm "tapping" the excess off.

  • @dawanka

i probably suggest that you dip the lollypop stick into the candy melts and then halfway through your ball of cake like shown in the video but instead put the cake pops back in the fridge or freezer for a bit so that the melts to set inside the ball of cake before taking them out again to dip them in the candy melts to coat. :)

  • @CaptainTank247 well instead of candy melts i used hershey kissed. I put some in a bowl then heated them in the microwave

  • Cute idea!!!

  • And how many grams frosting. I tried to make cakepops but it didn't work it got mushy and sticky...

  • How many grams is the cake?

  • I have watched the video, along with some other videos on how to make these. I finally tried them today for the first time. I've tasted a cake pop before and i would say that mine tasted pretty good but when it came time to dipping them in the candy melts, it was harder than i thought! I think i may have made my balls to big, it seemed that maybe it was too much weight and they kept moving around and breaking apart when i was trying to tap off the extra excess candy melt? will try again for sure

  • @valp227

    I have the SAME problem

  • @dawanka I found that the problem might be that they need to be chilled longer. Bakerella says to freeze for only 15 mins. But, when i looked at how other people are making theirs, they are leaving them in the fridge for a few hours before dipping. I am going to try this and ill let you know if it helps. I think what im also going to do is put my candy melts in a tall skinny cup instead of a bowl, this way i wont have to worry about moving the ball around to get completely coated.

  • Does anyone know a good uk alternative to candy melts? I havent seen them anywhere here :(

  • @CaptainTank247 A friend of mine made it with melted chocolate. :)

  • Cake pops are so easy and delicious check out my channel to find another good way to do them

  • I'm kinda reading more negative or rather disappointed people than happy ones :( are they really that much of a disaster? I have a birthday party to do in March, which gives me a while to practice, I hope I can do this.

  • Ha ha, I own the book :) their really fun to make.

  • They're cute and all but I would rather just have a piece of cake then have one that's been mooshed up with canned icing and dipped in fake chocolate O_o

  • Is there another type if chocolate I can use? I found candy melts too sweet!! Another question I have is, does the temperature of the frosting matter? I used room temp frosting and it was a huge disaster. Everything was sticking to my hands and when I finally formed a ball, it fell apart in the chocolate :( my cake was completely cooled...

  • omg i love bakerella~ :DD

  • How far in advance can I make the cake pops?

  • how much frosting do u need?

  • i bought this book at my book fair

  • omg ihascupquake made the owls and the icecreamcones!

  • Lots of sweets :) nice!!

  • Girls you can add shortening to make the chocalte smoothe then dip ur pop!

  • Chocol8 no they come out that wayy!! Ur best bet is too buy the the gril !!

  • hey i love your cake pops....didnt exactly follow yours but other said to put in freezer for an hour.....the cake pops came out chewy...it wasnt cakey at all...which i didnt like...what did i do wrong...did i put too much icing or was it in the freezer too long....HELP

  • ABSOLUTELY.LOVE.HER.KITCHEN

  • :10 omfg v_v

  • Why doesn't my melted chocolate have the same consistency...it was really thick and not a nice 'runny' consistency like the video shows.

  • @Wannafresca try adding a bit of oil but it wont end up as shiny

  • @Wannafresca did you put a little bit of butter in the chocolat? This wil ceep your chocolat soft

  • @Wannafresca add 1/2 teaspoon of crisco until you feel you have the right consistency. Wilton Chocolate is too thick....

  • @iwatchyutube thanks a lot I need to try that but I'm all out of chocolate...

  • So I tried makein the cake pops and well it went wrong I dipped the pops into the chocolate and when I was gonna get them out the chocolate the stick came of I think the chocolate was to thick how do I get the chocolate to me nice an smooth mine was kinda creamy...help would love to make some for my daughters first bday

  • @yesie89

Use vegetable oil! Just put in a little bit and it will thin it out

  • @yesie89

I'm having the same issue with the melted chocolate!

  • @yesie89 Make sure you put the cake balls in the freezer for 15 minutes, then dip the stick in the chocolate and then push it half way into the cake ball. I usually place the cake pop into the candy coating and then use a mini spoon to gently coat the cake pop. pull it out gently and then tap to get rid of the excess coating. If your coating is too thick add 1/2 teaspoon of crisco until you get to a good consistency. Don't use vegetable oil. It won't work as well as the crisco...GODD LUCK!

  • what is candy melts/code???

  • man seriouscakes was soooo lucky to meet her im jelly now

  • Bakerella has a great story. :)

  • Where can you buy candy melts? I live in the netherlands

  • Can you use any frostings?

  • @Dreamcancometrue19 i read somewhere that the best one to use is like the vanilla one. I can't say for sure though. I'm sure though you could always try others.

  • @rmac3982 Thank you I need to know because I'm making some to day :)

  • i hate the noise the like botton makes when u click it goshh youtube stop changing everything :/

  • Thats easy thank you vewy vewy much

  • Great video. However, you didn't tell us how much frosting to use and what consistency it was supposed to be like the other videos did. Otherwise, this was pretty good.

  • yummy yummy!!!!! :o)

  • yuuuum!!!

  • Bakerella, you sit on a throne of lies. Ours did not look anywhere near what you had.

  • do you have 2 crumble all 4 sections?

  • @mariaq81 forgot to mention, melts aren't necessary. you can use bark coating, or almond bark, which I can find at my local grocery store. Michaels sells candy melts for sure, but bark coating and bakers chocolate is fine

  • @mariaq81 Yes you can use Bakers chocolate. and you can find lollipop sticks at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, or even Amazon

  • Can you use Bakers chocolate squares to dip the cake pops? I cant find any melts to save my life =/ is there any stores that you know for sure sell melts? Like big chain stores? Also where can i find the pop sticks??

    Thanks =)

  • @TheFemaleBoss011 I've seen them in Michael's and Joanne's craft shops. Starbucks also just told me they're gonna start selling kits to make these. I thought it was gonna be really complicated, guess not. I think I'm gonna make some as part of my christmas gifts or do you think that's too cheesy?

  • @TheFemaleBoss011 WalMart carries them. They're hard to find, but they do have them.

  • CAKEEEE POPSSSSSSSSSSS

  • my cake falls off the stick when i dip it in the candy !! :/

  • @jas021193 It's because your cake pops have warmed up to room temperature ... you want to make sure they are cool ALSO you want to just DIP the cake pops, don't stir them around.

  • Your cooking instructions really make your cooking really easier

  • could you use popsicle sticks?

  • i love her book

  • @izzyr0b how about in a double boiler? microwaved ones don't work :(

  • @Tettelito you can just melt chocolate chips too.

  • @xjennaayy I tried that! DO NOT TRY THAT! It sucks! It becomes really clumpy ://

  • I think your cake pops are realy good but I live in England and its really hard to get a hold of some frosting that isn't really expensive, is there an alternative? I'm definately going to try this recipe if I can! Thank you!

  • She Makes It Look So Easy

Like If You Think So !!!

  • when u put the suker stick in the cake ball its still like really flimsy and able to come out so how did u put it right into the candy melts

  • Mine had too much frosting In the mix

    LOL

  • how do the candy melts taste like?

  • @splashycassie pretty good

  • Doesn't it the cake dry? And it will not be good?

  • @Nkool303 No they will not dry out; they are coated, which seals in the cake and frosting. They are kinda like truffles. Super moist and super good. My family loves these. You could go to Starbucks and try one. They sell these there.

  • @Nkool303 frosting in it keeps it moist

  • Do these even taste good?

  • ...but where do you buy giant lolipop sticks?

  • @ReyBeltane They sell them at bulk food stores, and craft stores.

  • My mom bought this book, and every time she makes them, I end up eating a lot haha I thing i gaing 3 pounds every time XD DELICIOUS

  • You Should Team Up With EpicMeatTime Awassup cakepops

  • @xXFrenchXx23 yea... I think they are called epicMEALtime not epicMEATtime, although they do eat a lot of meat...

  • You can get candy melts and lollipop stick from Walmart.

  • Chocolate won't work as well as candy melts do (it doesn't melt in the same way and you can't re-melt it), but if you don't like the taste of candy melts, there are loads of candy flavorings available to change it.

  • You're pretty. =]

  • where can you get candy coating? can you use frosting? because i havent seen someone use it

  • @sarkail2oo you can find candy melts at Michael's or probably any craft/baking store.

  • I don't care for the taste of the candy melts. I'd like to use Dove chocolate or Hershey's mild chocolate chps. Has anyone tried to use these and will it work?

  • what are candy melts?, im from the uk can you get them here ?

  • @musicmadgurl333 They're kind of like colored chocolates :)

  • @musicmadgurl333

Hi i'm from the uk and can buy candy melts i get them from my local cake decorating shop or if you are near to a Hobby Craft store they sell them too

  • How do you get the melts of such a great consistency?????

  • @ChestnutDream have you tried putting shortening (i.e. crisco) in your candy melts?

  • Wow, this is easier than I thought. Wish I had found this video sooner. I would've made them for my son's 1st birthday this Saturday. Maybe Christmas!!?? Hehe. Thanks so much for sharing.

    x0, Damaris

  • Thanks your video was very helpful

  • next time I shop at lowes I will copy her basic recipe that she always use it for any different variety and shape of cake pops. It's really cool it gives you an idea what can you make in any shape you like. I don't need to follow everything she made. As long as I know the basic recipe :-) Thanks Bakerella and more power.......

  • I just read her book when I went to lowes and it says 3/4 of 16 oz ready to use frosting per 1 box of cake mix. You can't put too much of frosting otherwise it will become too moist. And also the recipe yield 48 balls. The size of balls was I think 1 1/2 ". She mentioned that you can buy candy melts in crafting store like Joann's Fabric. She melts her chocolates over microwave "half power or medium power" something like that, then you stir it every 30 seconds of intervals. Hope it helps :-)

  • Cheers for the vid, I have found an issue with the candy melts that i could not get the perfect consistency for them to adhere to the pops and when i heated the melts more they seized... any tips?

  • how did you melt your candy melts? i keep trying to melt mine, but i get a lumpy result.

  • how do you melt your chocolate that is is very thin

  • In India,we use bare hands to mix the crumbles and frosting.....dirty ones.
