#2 The essentials for your group composition are as follows:

Templar

Gladiator

Cleric

Chanter

Sorceror/Spiritmaster (I prefer both, if there's no spiritmaster than two sorcerors)

The strategy for 1.5 is almost exactly the same as Fylina's except for the part with the adds.

As of 1.5, the adds can no longer be leashed so here's what you do.

When the adds pop, every dps in your group immediately drops off the boss and changes focus. If you have a spiritmaster, this will be like taking candy from a baby; have him fear several of the adds while the gladiator tanks one and every dps'es it down.

F.Y.I. Chanter should be healing gladiator and Cleric should be healing the temp

-Give the sorceror leader so he can mark his cc then have the gladiator tank one and the spiritmaster fear the rest (F.Y.I. your sorc will probably say he can cc two, don't let him if you have a sm, not worth the risk imo)

Bosses in Aion are incredibly harder than bosses in WoW. The WoW fanboys here are saying that Algalon is supposedly impossible, but look at Aion. There's bosses in C-Aion that have not been killed yet, and have been out for quite a while.

First of all, Aion hasn't even been released in NA yet. Second of all, if what you mean by "team play" is having multiple DPS, a tank, and a healer, Aion requires exactly the same type of team play. Yes, you need levels and gear for bosses in Aion, but you need levels and gear ALSO for bosses in WoW, such as for naxx. The longest boss time in WoW is about 15 minutes, guess what the longest boss time in Aion is? 40 minutes. I would say Aion's bosses are harder.

I have killed algalon and ok he's not easy. Wow does have a lot of fun fights and etc, However it gets really repetitive (wiping on the same boss over and over)

Didn't even mention WAR, that game is a failure. They should have listened better while the beta lasted and don't rush the release because of WoTLK.

Experience counts a lot yes, I did all encounters in Warcraft to this day and you can't deny that they have the best team until this day when it comes to putting together complex encounters.

Too bad though, we still have 1.0 in the EU / NA closed beta and no instances ... it would be nice to experience at least one instance personally. There is only so much you can get from a movie.

The only problem is that a lot of the new content became more complicated because of all the mods they assume people are already using. That's a tired argument that can go back and forth forever though lol.

So there is an ebb and flow. I'm not playing Aion for the PVE. I'm there for the PVP hoping it plays out better than WAR did with some DAoC flair added in.

Agreed. If AOC didn't break my heart enough. The PvPvE they are adding in with 1.5 seems to be "queue" instances. Long story short your group queues up for the instance, the opposing faction queues up. You both start on oppositie ends and it's a race to the boss in the middle. If you get their first you get to attempt, but you have to watch your back :) Also, KSing is back (i've missed AO) so if you OD (Out DPS) the other group you steal the loot anyway :)

No offense, but the difficulty of these "bosses" are on par with Wailing Caverns / Deadmines from early WoW, pretty much faceroll.

I'm a bit worried about the PvE difficulty of the game (yes, preordered already), but Rome wasn't built in a day in Warcraft either at the beginning.

Hope to see some actually hard encounters.

Well in WOW you have deadly boss mods etc to tell you what to do. NCSoft has always taken a staunch "no mods" approach with it's games. Let's see who gets facerolled first :)

I played wow, and i know about wailing caverns, but this boss has nothing to do in terms of difficulty with any "Wailing cavern" boss.

People who fought the boss in the video are obviously experienced in pve, they try to dodge aoe, they quickly use pots to cure abnormal status, they even died, the boss spawns adds, u have to move the boss to strategical places, i haven't found a boss in wailing cavern that obligate ur party to think about that amount of problem on one single boss in wailing...

As already mentioned, but this boss is at least 4 times as complicated as anything up to SM, where the only one even remotely like this would be SM Cath (can't remember the names of the 2 bosses). There isn't a saingle boss till then that s anything other than a raw stationary tank n spank.... Except gnomeregan, but I hate that place :)
