Sadly people today thinks kids just want to see stupid, random, pointless TV shows instead of something with deep plot and moral value. I'm 18 and I remember when I first watched this series. Every time I re-watch it, I learn something new because of all the politics and military references. This is a show that you can't fully appreciate until you've gotten older or at least seen it a few times.

@GraveZero00 The reasons they blew the Gundams up was so that it could represent the true ending of the war. The earth and colonies had been at war for so long already, and the Gundams were a direct representation of that war. In the Future that Relena Peacecraft was striving to create, weapons like the Gundams are completely unnecessary. To prevent the farther use of them by the pilots or anyone else, they were destroyed. If you ask me, this represents the exact idealism that they fought for.

Also, remember that during re-entry, it was using its shield to buffer the heat of friction. Most of the Gundams in the series were capable of re-entry as well like the Wing Zero and the Freedom. The only ones who really addressed the problem and counteracted them was 00 which used a particle field.

Even in Gundam vs Gundam, his physical attack button only shoots missiles. No Beam Sabers.

The arms themselves don't have guns hidden within them. The Shoulders however do. I think it mainly is a design flaw because if they moved the shoulder gatlings and missiles to the back so that they could retract, it would free up the arms for better melee options. (like attaching beam saber hardpoints to the arms)

Mobility isn't much of an issue, Trowa showed that he could do acrobatics in a mobile suit no problem.
