pretty sure the rockies clobbered both Jake Peavy and Trevor Hoffman. And even if Holiday was called out, there were no outs and Jamie carrol was rounding 2nd when the throw came to the plate. So with one out and a runner in scoring position and a washed up closer, I like their chances. Have fun watching the playoffs for years to come without the Padres.

I'm a Red Sox fan and chose the to support the Padres for the wild card MONTHS before this happened. I was at the game. That was the best game I've ever been to. My voice was so hoarse the next day. The Rockies really didn't deserve to go that night after how bad both teams played, but they redeemed themselves in the playoffs. My hat goes off to the Rox and Matt Holiday. He should've been MVP

I'm a diehard Rocks fan, through and through. But I'll be just as quick as a Pads fan to point out that MVP didn't touch the plate. But it's fitting that extra innings were ended on this kind of a call. The game never would have gone to extra innings had the negated homerun counted. But all of what has happened has happened.
