I just got my sample of rose 31, I personally think the opening is actually gross...the dry down isn't bad, but not worth the price tag.....but if your looking for attention from ladies, this isn't it.....my girl actually told me "please never wear that around me again"..

Tom Ford's Noir de Noir OR Le Labo Rose 31?

they're both very close in terms of smell, which do you think is the superior fragrance and why?

It's a dry comforting scent. Like you're just chillin' in your backyard garden in the middle of summer sort of smell to me.

Excellent, gorgeous fragrance. Fortunately, the rose is done in a way that I love and I virtually have hated every rose-based scent I've tried. Cant wait to try more from Le Labo.
