Ahh man... Don't involve politics with music. Golden rule. Bush did more for Oklahoma than any President besides FDR. Then a homegrown Okie puts him down like the rest of the world, embarrassing. I finally saw my neighbors get off food stamps, buy a new work truck, others kept their land, he did more for rural America while the rest of the politicians cared about their beach front property. Maybe that's why all the stars bitched about him. This is just my point of view. Sorry if insulted
@filmmakerman don't be sorry. I know how some people get offended by bush, and how some get offended by obama. we all get offended on some levle by polotics. and your right about the golden rule. I was a a Santana Concert in Las Vegas, and Carlos start's talking about legalizing Marrijuana and Obama, I swear to God, Half his audiance leaves.
here's my view on polotics. everyone sucks. the conservatives suck, the liberals suck, and basically the whole system sucks. so I tend to stay away.
@filmmakerman The golden rule... so true. I used to LOVE the Flaming Lips because they were such a positive band. They got me through some dark times in my life and brought a smile to my face when it seemed like my world was crumbling around me. I had every album and had gone to every show since the first time I saw them in 1994. I never go see them live anymore because they became political and hateful. It's sad, really.
I used to fry fish with him at Long John's. Wayne, do you remember Bud Weis? I really want to get back in touch with him and I have no clue. If you know anything, let me know.
Ha; now he's famous and you just happen to want to get back in touch with him. Haha, yeah...you and the rest of the world that at one point in time ever had anything remotely to do with him.
I know Wayne is famous, it doesn't mean he's a dick. We had some fun way back when and don't have much else in common so I wouldn't try to weasel. I DO want to get back in touch with Bud.
Video taken in Tulsa, OK on July 27, 2007. I wuz there. Check out some of the other vids from that show. Truly an amazing show, even by Lips standards.

I was on stage at this show dressed as Santa. This band is the most humble, hard working, involved group that i've ever met in person.

allentown PA fair 2007 is where i saw them and it was the most amazing thing i've ever seen or heard
sonic youth and ween opened up for them, and i was skeptical about whether the flaming lips could outdo them, having never seen a lips show
but everything about that show was incredible and no band could ever match how powerful it was
