This album maybe different to others..(i luv the early stuff also)...but i dont give a shit.....the world is alwayz rotating...things never stay the same..as long as Shihad are goin and tearin up venues....thats all that matters to me..i know this new album has attracted a wider array of new fans..which is all good!!
This song is epic...it's a fucking tragedy that no one outside NZ and Aussie have ever heard much of Shihad, cause if a few things had gone right they could have been selling out arenas all over the world. I just wish they'd come up north for their tour.
shihad best new zealand band i think there new album is not so good like love is the new hate that was gooooooooooooooooooooood there song home again i been there were that was recoared and the guy driving the car in confort me is my secound cosion
To be honest i was suprised to find out this was shihad. but love this song and love shihad so works for me!! looking forward to hearing thier new album.
Only managed to catch them live once. That was in 1991 at the Turf Hotel in Stoke, Nelson. They had brought some friends from Wellington to open for them...Head Like A Hole. I seem to remember their late manager was there too, the dude who used to sing for Flesh Device. Never thought they'd still be going after all this time.
they have gone back to there roots, when blue fish came out with home again, people said it was a stuipd song and it will never do well, that is now the best song from them and gets the crowd wild, so lets wait and see the whole cd first, and as 4 the video clip it's good because its simple and just like eary shihad vids. home again, a day away, lala land and etc, rock on boys
Even though I don't mind this song, it's nowhere near as good as the material of their last album 'Love Is the New Hate'. It just has none of the Shihad spark that used to get me hooked. I think 'Warner Music' have a lot to answer for with Shihad's new pop/rock sound.
Shihad have been playing with a pop rock sound(among other sounds) for twenty years. I'm pretty sure that 'Warner music' are as proud of the record as the boys. Why don't we wait till the album actually comes out before making sweeping judgements. I can't wait!!!!! ROCK ON!!
It's great to see the guys back with a new album and really I'm looking forward to it, but the video was kinda ordinary/boring I think. Shihad has done videos way, way better than this in the past...
Maybe it was just me who didn't 'get it'?
Oh well, 5 stars for trying something new:-)
I HOPE YOU GET TO DO SOME SCANDINAVIAN FESTIVALS BETWEEN JUNE AND AUGUST!!
