I have a question...is it Kristiansand Julestevne or Kristiansand Yulestevne? Because in the video, you have Kristiansand Yulestevne but for the title you have Kristiansand Julestevne...just curious! =P
Hi Grace; the correct Norwegian word is julestevne but I spelt it Yulestevne in the video so that non-Norwegians would mentally pronounce it the right way (the "j" in jule is pronounced the same as the "y" in Yule).
I love her round :) It was amazing to watch in Kristiansand! I've never seen her like this before :) Me and Rachel was like OMG SHE'S IN THE 2ND PHASE! O_O I bet Rachel was more nervous than the rider xD; Anyway, I guess Mari has trained a lot, and it was worth it! :) Nice job :D<3
they are so focused! i think that i could see mari jumping at olympia (possibly the most prestigious horse show in england)! and that is a compliment, believe me!
i produced george from the pony who would force every rider off (including me the first time i rode him) to the open the captain on our horse trial and our show jumping teams which hasn't cost too much (mum trains me)! and we were then given our trailer for free by one of my mum's friends the entry fees are not too steeep either so i don't know why she is holding back? any ideas?
Hi Anna - glad you thought the advice useful (although your mum & dad are also right - money does play an important part!)
The reason why I put the comment in the vid description is because on one of my other videos, somebody has left a comment along the lines that "I've got as far as jumping 1.20 metres but can't get my head round going higher". contd...
having a good horse obviously counts for a lot (hence the need to spend some money!) but breaking through a personal barrier or achieving a goal is often a mental battle. To quote from one of my favourite authors, it's all about "headology". :-)
thankyou! i did an excecise from kelly marks' book "perfect confidence" and my dad is a lot more willing for me to compete than my mum (though i don't know why as he has never really taken to horses in the way that me and mum have!) but my mum has agreed for me to affiliate and showjumping if i can finish in the top four at my next competition.
nice round! those jumps were huge, mari&underdog look like they have come far since your last video, "Rogaland KM for junior riders". keep up the good work mari! :)
Oops - I've managed to delete the reply to your comment Haflingerluver (apologies whoever it was). The horses are clipped and it can get very cold over here so they need the extra cover to keep them warm. At this competition we were getting sub-zero temperatures over night.
i love this video

Loved it!! I have a questions, why do the horses wear the blankets on their butts right before they walk in????? Like @ 00:08
