you have to be careful with hot water and doll hair because the hair is made of thin plastic strands and they could melt talking from experience

@Zeldadevil64 i did this (using this video) in august (i was 11. actually, still am! turning 12 very soon!), and it was very easy! it is so simple, but if you don't like hot water, don't do it and get help from your parents or something :)

I used to do something similar but with my barbie dolls only go all out and have little salon chairs and make one doll the hair dresser., My mum used to want to get in the bath but there would be all these dolls on mini chairs drying off in the tub. @123THEBRATZFAN My best bet is it had nothing to do with water. Did you try to dry it afterward with a hairdryer?

The synthetic used for any doll hair is EXTREMELY heat sensitive, which is why boiling (or even hot water like the girl in the video used) can smooth and flatten it. Hair dryers will easily destroy doll hair if you have it on anything but low. You need a hair dryer that has temperature settings where you set it either to "cool" or "warm." It's best to air dry.
