@KieferJackson the first Clu was a data file search and retrieval program, designed to find Flynn's stolen game program files that listed Kevin Flynn as the programmer that created Space Paranoids and several other games, which Dillinger claimed he wrote and got a promotion at Encom from. Clu in Tron Legacy is basically a digital CLONE of Flynn himself, whose mandate was to "create a perfect system" i.e help to build the Grid to be perfect; "Clu 2.0" became an expert at the battle grid games.

This is amazing. Wonderfully cut, I really like what you've done with this. The only difference for me I suppose is that I don't usually like to watch trailers in general, as I like to be surprised (perhaps I'm just weird that way). However that aside, this is just great; this should be on TV or in the theaters.

This is awesome. I loved both movies, but I have to admit the first one drags a little. What I'd love to see is someone take the entire film and re-edit it to spice up the pace a little, and give it a new exciting soundtrack. No visual changes though.

@pspboy7: I believe it's both. It's a sequel, as it takes place after the original. But it's a remake, as nearly every scene (and some dialogue) is a chronological repeat of the 1982 film. -

Scenes in both, in order: Hack company, shirtless Alan talk, Find computer, Enter Grid, Captured by thugs, Disc Fight, Villain chat, Light cycles, Wall Escape, Tower plan, Damaged friend, Solar sail, Big ship capture, Villain speech, Fight villain, Enter I/O, Take back company. -

With this reasoning a whole lot of sequels would be 'remakes', too. Die Hard, MiB, Terminator, BTTF (quite intentionally), Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters and almost any horror movie series ever spring to mind immediately.

It's called following the same formula (very tightly in Tron Legacy's case, and I'd say also very intentionally), with a good pinch of tribute to a cult classic sequel that came out almost 30 years earlier.

Minor nit-picks: (all personal opinion!) - I hate how modern trailers give away the whole plot and the best parts! - There were a few too many quick fades after flicking a scene in. You should hold any visual for about 3 - 5 seconds before fading out. - Should have used "end of line" after a cut at the very end, for a bit more dramatic pause

jeff bridges as obi van ken flynn in a pretty shallow pixel story with little or no humor. 3D only in parts. the lead text tells the spectators to leave the glasses on. the absence of 3D is intentional. well, well, well. lets be forgivable; all is fine. /watch?v=6DKN4aViZ6w

WOW! Two BIG thumbs up for this incredible work! I'm a huge fan of the original, and your trailer is VERY compelling! Very, very, VERY nice work!!! Great timing, great score, great sense of drama, doesn't give away the entire movie, but reveals enough to tease somebody into wanting to see more. Damn fine work!
