@14spag14 it can be learnt by ear... I learned it by ear, but I fall apart near the end when it goes into that patented Yann Tiersen chaotic mess of double stops.

BTW I would recommend to rosin the bow a little bit harder and to put microphone further so you will avoid whistling. Also maybe try not to swing be cause it looks a little bit unnaturalizationly. That's my recomendation

A question...

I play the guitar as my main instrument, and i use a bow sometimes too.. I also play piano , bass and the piccolo flute." Sur le fil" doesn't look like the most technical melody out there. What you do with your left hand seems quite basic, or at least of a moderate difficulty. You think i would be able to teach myself this tune, as an average musician, if i picked up the violin, say within a year or so?

@Bahamutdordi I think you should be able to, the only reason I couldn't figure it out is because i'm absolutely retarded when listening to find tunes. I need sheet music, but if you're good at that, I think depending on your playing ability you should be fine.

@Bahamutdordi The really fast part would be hard, but the parts leading up to it are easy enough. The only thing is, it depends on how much time you're willing to put into it. You may be able to *play* the piece, but to get it to sound good, it takes a lot of practice outside of just this one song.
