Okay an impossible route (for those of us who bike SF) but at the same time a GREAT impossible route, so many terrific spots, shot and edited beautifully.
I love how the guy suddenly realizes that he has a gun halfway through the chase then starts chasing McMillan for some reason instead of getting away when he has the chance. It's like a freaking cartoon almost.
This has to be one of the most remarkable tv chases!! Rock worked his butt off for his pay check on this one, that's for sure. Forgot what a big man he was. And all that SF great footage--if the city ever runs out of brochures they should use this clip to bring in the tourists.
Couldn't catch it all but it seemed they started in the financial, suddenly they were in Buena Vista park, then Russian Hill, back in the financial, coming down the south side of Telegraph and then back to Russian for the finale. I think the wall he crashed over is the inspiration for the similar one in Kiki's Delivery Service.
Good filmed, but ressembled a Tour de France/Giro di Italia/Vuelta a España/Volta a Catalunya european bicycle competitions in the hills of the american San Francisco city.
I cycled for many years but do not recall that my wheels ever lost contact with the tarmac and shot into the air, especially at the top of a hill, and yet that appears to be what happened here, and seeing is believing. A car or a motorbike may leap into the air on the hills of San Francisco, of course, but a bicycle?
Pretty funny to watch the Bullitt chase scene down Taylor and left onto Filbert recreated using 10-speed bicycles. (I think even more was done, but it's been awhile since I've Bullitt so I'm not sure.)
OUTSTANDING!

This is a classic low budget chase scene. You should post this as a video response to the car chase scene from the Movie 'Bullitt'
