The problem is that we will never be unified. There is no trust between us all, and everyone knows that. The only way to have a strong Lebanon is to make peace with ALL it's neighbours, including ISRAEL. But assholes like hizbollah want to keep living in the war age.....then that's fine. The Christians fought the Syrians and lost in 1990. They were then disarmed. Hizbollah were the only ones who remained armed. They had no problem seeing Syria occupy Lebanon, and i accept this. So too you should accept that i had no problem seeing Israel in Lebanon.

I agree with the current political class, they are rotten. The only way to fight that is in the elections. The people must vote clean politicians into power at the right time. Overthrowing a government by force could lead to civil war. Look at iraq.

as i said be that syria get to lebanon through the president whom we trusted, we did not bring isreal to lebanon, plo did by attacking them every chance they get and on top of that they are not winning, we are not inviting any foreign country to occupy lebanon in the future to come because we learned our mistake,we do not rely on anybody we still standing, usa did not help us otherwise the war would have been over.

i am aware of how easy America changes it's policy. That's politics - as Bachir mentions in this video clip. I don't understand hizbollah claiming to be resistance while living under Syrian occupation. Christians invited Syria to intervene, they didn't tell Syria to take and keep Lebanon.

and i consider Israel as an ally, because they helped fight Syria and the palestinians, the real foreign aggressors. We told Syria to get out, they refused, we fought them. I agree that the recent anti-syrians were always helping Syria. No one is clean. But the country must take one stance. The problem is that we are divided.

syria played a double game, they sent soldiers within the palestinian militias to aid them in massacres such as damour and in fights in downtown beyrouth in order to corner lebanese christians into asking them for help. as loyal as we were, we turned to our arab brother before turning to israel. both stabbed us in the back but israel never raised a gun towards a christian person, syria fought all, even hezbollah

The thing is, we must learn to get along. We must learn to forgive, but never forget. The law that passed forgave all with blood on their hands, including Syria and Palestinians, except Israel. That isn't fair. And no matter what you say, that's a fact. Lebanon must get along with each other, and ALL their neighbours.

Israel is a legal neighbour, they are going nowhere. If arabs as a whole want peace with Israel, they can start by realising this fact. Not all arabs do. Once they recognise the state of Israel i'm sure they will talk. They made peace with Egypt and Jordan didn't they?

I don't mind Israel being next door. The country is theirs, it has been theirs for hundreds of years. Palestinians must accept this and move on. Peace is the only way, because in the end they will be the bigger losers, not Israel. Arabs must understand this.

Everyone knows that Israel achieved more in the war than hizbollah did. The army is now inthe south, where it should be, and UNIFIL is there keeping an eye on things. Hizbollah is no longer threatening Israel. This is a great achievement for Israel and Lebanon. Hizbollah has no reason to exist, Israel is no threat to Lebanon. Syria is.

Israel was one of many factions in the war. Israel killed many people, and so did everyone else. Syria also killed many, but no one in Lebanon dares call them the enemy. Lebanon has peace with each other, and also Palestinians and Syria, then why not Israel? Why are they singled out? They are not the only ones with blood on their hands. It's racist.

Yes the Christians brought Syria into Lebanon, because their backs were against the wall. Then as you know we asked them to leave, and they refused. In 1990 Syria took the country by force and occupies for 15 years, but no one cares about that because it's ok, it's Syria. That's racist and unfair. If that's the case, then i love and support Israel, they are much better allies for Lebanon.
