Ubuntu Hardy Heron with Compiz-Fusion

i installed compiz on my ubuntu but it doesnt have some of the animations you have, like different animations while opening menu's like fire and stuff. did you install those seperately?? also how do you get the background picture while using the 3d box thing.

you need to ccsm (compiz control panel) type in terminal sudo apt-get install simple-ccsm then your password when it asks and then follow the instructions. or do it in the graphical interface using add/remove or synaptic

Dock is avant dock i think. Clock is from gDesklets.

That's right, the Dock is 'Avant window Manager' aka AWM.

The clock is from 'screenlets' thou not gdesklets.

Yeah it might be great, if Ubuntu will have good support for ATI graphic cards...

You can install ATI drivers. I did it for my Ubuntu set up.

where did you find and how did you download the pluginsmain? I just see gutsy tuts when i search for it.

Also are you suppose to have witget layer and animations layer before you install the plugins?

this is freakin sweet...I just got linux. I cant believe I've using Bill's Windows Crap all my life.

I use Compiz settings manager.

Start it.

Got to Witget layer

Add this in the tekstbox of 'witget windows': class=Gnome-panel

Activate the witget layer

In 'animations' in the same dialog box, I have activated random animations.

Ofcourse, you can just choose a spicific animation for specific windows (based on name, type,...)
