Wow , that brings back some memories . I grew up in S.B. when this was filmed and shortly after moved to Santa Ynez . Great place to grow up . Still have a lot of friends in the area and visit when i can .
Wow!! Those were the best years... I visited then lived in SB but it ain't the same no more.....I would not raise my kid there...I would rather live in the desert ...too many drugs, crime, people's attitudes suck and it's an odd little town now...not to be negative..it's just too bad things have changed there so much!
@neumann81 oh no you don't you just think you do...and, trust me, people whined and bitched about the good ol days since adam and eve walked the earth...in 1975 you would wish you lived in the 50's. BTW, see the PC/internet you are on? didn't have these in 1975..get it?
I miss SB. I worked at the Drug Abuse Preventive Center during the time of this film and up to 1982. Such a wonderful place to live, but after the center was burned down, I no longer could afford to live there. So I moved to Wisconsin.
@kidsplinters haha! dude, you don't belong on youtube with lame comments like that. If you can't take a bit of racism and some off beat remarks, the I suggest you stop paying attention to youtube comments in general.
@maggersable another freakin humorless moron! You are the one that is pathetic, and rude, I did not insult you or anybody you dumbass but now I will so fuck you!
Awesome! This is how I remember growing up in SB. Makes me sad to see how overpopulated it is now. I'm living in Santa Ynez now, but never trailed far from home. I don't think I could ever leave this place. Wish SB was a small community again, though.

The reason an obese person is obese is because he will eat all the food put in front of him and go back for seconds and thirds. Same with the government. They will spend all the money we give to them and ask for more! Thank goodness for Prop 13 - if we did no have it, the government would just be bigger. Not better, just bigger.
I lived in SB from 1971 until 2008. I would say that except for the cars & fashion styles, SB has changed very little since these shots were taken. Compare Camarillo or Thousand Oaks in 1975 to today, now THAT'S a difference.

Actually, the whole country started going downhill after Reagan ran up the deficits, and in California when Prop 13 was passed.
