  • I've been playing bass for about a year now and am constantly striving for excellence (practicing scales, strudying theory, etc.). I REALLY enjoy your videos. They have such a good prgression. It's like going back to the basics (no pun intended). May God bless you as you impart what you have learned to others.

  • I just brought a Ibanez EDB 605 5-string Bass Guitar as a start to learn the bass do you think I should have started off with a 4 string or will i be ok with this bass??

  • @mrlickem1 Starting on a 4 or 5 is totally a preference thing. Some people swear by either 4, 5, or 6 strings basses. Playing a 5 simply gives your a wider range of notes. I think the 5 string was a great decision. :)

Now learn as much as you can, and try to apply what you learn in a musical context. I wish you much success in your bass journey.

  • please what can you suggest for musting. My strings keeps buzzing

  • @ytjhhh To eliminate buzzing many people will use a hair scrunchie, or robber band type object. Personally I believe that working on your technique, to mute strings as you play is the best option. Also your bass' setup is very important.

    Hope that helps.

  • You are a gifted teacher.
