i love her. a lucky woman. a shrewd, fun, beautiful and cool woman. only one of a kind. i learn a lot from her. dignity and fun. being the woman a man wanted to marry without boring him. living in a mans world, being the woman in it, and still outsmarting the bunch of them. she's a gorgeous dreamboat. its terrible how she died. clark knew it. he really lost a damn good woman. i'm taking pointers from this one. maybe someone will love me as clark loved her!

I just watched TO BE OR NOT TO BE and was laughing then I read that Carole Lombard died shortly after making that movie. Now I'm feeling a little sad...
Carole was great and from my own Indiana! She was a rare talent that could do drama or comedy with equal ease and was a remarkable actress. She left a wonderful collection of films for posterity and her loyal fans of past, present & future.
And love your wonderful collections on here too! So well done! Hope you will do one on Mae West at some point and maybe even lovely Lyda Roberti.
If your out there Mr. Nelson, I just want you to know that you have done a fantastic job. I intend to watch as many of your videos as I can--time permitting.
Thank you for your supportive comments, I am pleased you are enjoying my work. Take all the time you need, there is lots to choose from, and there are new releases every week. BAZ
she was so beautiful and amazing and talented i really really like her shes such a legand her and as she would say 'pa' mr gable she was also apparently really down to earth and funny like if gable got a bit to big for his boots or something she apperntly would be like who the fuck do you think you are clark gable?lol they were a great couple apperently and when she died so did appart of him so sad i like to think of them together like two stars now -my fave of her film mr and mrs smith lol x
Thank you for this wonderful tribute to the beautiful and talented Carole Lombard. Your photographs are amazing and the music if haunting, wistful and lovely. I have watched it over and over.
I don't agree. However, beauty is subjective. Why are you on this site if you don't think she was great? Let's face it she snagged two great men: William Powell and Clark GAble. Gable-hottie for his time!
Carole at 2:17 is so gorgeous. We now know that she swore like a sailor. Back in the day, her fans didn't know so what's the big deal? Great cheekbones too!
She was a beautiful person and loved Clark Gable in such a way that he said in his biography, that losing Carole left a great hole inside of him that would never be filled again.

Hollywood's greatest loss; think of the possible roles she could have played. I adore her in My Man Godfrey.

Carole Lombard was my late mother's favorite actress. A truly beautiful tribute to a cherished star of Hollywood's 'Golden years'.
