Have you talked to your pediatrician? If it's mos def eczema and terribly bad (oozing, painful) and what's been suggested isn't helping I'd see a pediatric dermatologist ASAP.
I have mild-mod facial eczema & use a Rx topical (Desonide lotion) as needed to help control flare ups. Typically I use dye/frag-free facial cleansers/products and laundry detergent. It can be frustrating to control b/c SO many things we can't control cause flare ups but using lukewarm water and non-drying products help.
That and a good moisturizer. I forgot to mention I USUALLY use a soap-free cleanser though I've backslid and used DHC Mild Soap in the summer months. It's not too drying and seemed to work for my combo, sensitive skin. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect facial cleanser though.
