FYI: The Everyday Minerals in the video, is the old formula. You can tell be cause it has the brown lid. The current formula is not even close to being as good.

I just checked Maybelline's website . . apparently the purestay powder is only available in the US now . . too bad for me i am in Canada. Really a great product.

I purchased the Maybelline Purestay Powder Foundation and really just loved it over my moisturizer. . . I purchased it on clearance and havent seen it back to the drugstore since. Do you know if they have discontinued this line since the FIT me line has come out? Is there another powder foundation in the drug store that is comparable? I am about to hit pan :(

@earlydawn81 Most brands bring out a newline yet use the same powder formulation of their other lines and just change the name and packaging. Don't be afraid of the Fit Me line, its very good fora drugstore line.

@07Janina07 I was really hoping this was the case in the maybelline line for this product. The pure stay powder was a foundation powder while the FIT me powder doesn't seen to me to have the same coverage as it is a setting powder. Although im sure its a great product for its intended use. If you know of any great powder foundations id love to know. Thanks for your comment

For colorstay foundation, my favorite way to apply it is with a big kabuki brush. I just dot it on my face and buff it out with a kabuki brush and the finish is FLAWLESS and natural yet coverage, no lie!

have you tried Avon Extralast? I really like it, it beats out the high end brands I've tried, and you can get samples from a representative to test out colors (and no, I don't work for Avon- I like this and the wash off water proof mascara of theirs, that's it so far).

I looove your videos! Jw if you have ever used or heard of Merle Norman? They have amazing skin care and makeup products! You mentioned you don't have a favorite high-end liquid foundation.. check out Merle Norman. They are comparable in price to MAC. And they're eyeshadows are incredible.. same price as MAC, only you get more product! :)

Another thing that might work for applying the Colorstay is to apply your moisturizer with a sponge or brush then using that same tool to apply your foundation :) The moisturizer left in the sponge or brush will help the Colorstay work smoothly into your skin.

This is my favourite awards category! Emily, which powder with spf would you recommend? In the summers I am really into being able to top up my spf with powder throughout the day, but it's impossible to find. I tried one from Clinique recently and didn't like it at all as it oxydised on my face very very fast (I have oily skin).

Anyway, I saw her review for Benefit concealer, so I went out to try it because I was running out of my "The Balm" concealer. WOW is all I have to say. Amazing amazing! Everything Emily said was so true about the concealer. I love it a lot! Worth the money and you use so little at a time!

For the Revlon CS foundation I do the same thing as you for application and I find it gives my skin an air-brushed look. It's so much better than using a brush to apply it. =)

Rimmel matte bronzer was the first bronzer I tried and I've felt no reason to try others. I'm dark enough in the summer that the matte bronzer functions as a natural looking powder so I stay off the shimmer.

@leeshyeternally Hahaha my boyfriend liked it too! And also, I use mineral foundation when I want a more natural look, i.e. it's my everyday makeup. I use liquid rarely, because I don't need that much coverage. Usually I use it only for when my skin is really bad, like I have a breakout or something. I guess it depends on the coverage and finish you want, and also how heavy you want your makeup to be :)
