@tabla714 Mridangham? Impossible as that's a South Indian Instrument, Pandit Ji was of the Benaras Gharana. If you are referring to the Mridhang, then say Mridhang.

It's not a case of wanting to play like him; you won't ever play like him, I won't ever play like him, I dare say nobody will ever play like him. Pandit Ji is not referred to in the latter way for no reason mate, he earned that status.

@tabla714 You speak like you're a master yourself hahaha when (if ever) you earn the right to use ustad or pandit as a prefix for your name then criticise the masters, although I don't see that happening very soon. These masters proved their great knowledge with their performances, you mention only three great masters and say "everyone else is like whatever"; Pandit Samta Prasad? Ustad Sukhvinder Singh Namdhari? Pandit Kumar Bose? Pandit Anindo Chatterji? Are they not masters of tabla?
