  • lol

  • There's chess and then there's Strip Chess in a Bathtub w/ Ben Franklin.

  • @TheTraumarama, LMAO! xD

  • what was he angry about?

  • @dreamerboy84, the Continental Congress made Franklin sole diplomat to France, a.k.a. they were kicking Adams out of his job in France. John was too honest to be a good diplomat and he wasn't as conceding a negotiator as Franklin. He ruffled a lot of feathers at the French court, so Congress thought it best to send him elsewhere. Poor John!

  • I love how the French gal just kind of glances over at Adams like, "meh."

  • Hey, at least Franklin had someone his own age, instead of some kid.

  • what the hell type of experiment was that? Granny Gate?

  • John Adams my 7th cousin was kind of a jerk, and was really weird at times. Bens a more distant realtion but he was better liked. Sam dressed like a scarecrow and didn't do well at beer making. Ben had lots of women in his time and thats well known. He was always ready to party.... An thats the truth.

And I could beat Ben in chess...

  • @progressiverebel .....How could you know him?Do you mean John,on 86th Street ? He must be 65 or so,it being 2011.He was my first "best friend",I had a crush on Audrey.

  • Roll on the floor laufing xD omg super funny!!!! Akward moment,....... Well Mr. Adums....... xD

  • Awkward much? ;)

  • John, at least compliment her...

  • ...Awkwarrrrrrrrrrd

  • Historically hilariously fact:

That secretary, Mr. Edward Bancroft, was a double-agent!

He was spying simultaneously for the Americans and the British while he was in Paris working with Franklin and Adams! His role was not confirmed (though some suspected him) until the late 19th century, when British diplomatic records were opened to the public.

Assuming this scene actually occurred, magine the reaction of his British liason when he told them this story!!!!!

  • @zbt518, wow! How cool, I didn't know that! Makes sense though, considering there were so many double-agents in France spying on the Americans at that time. It's a wonder how Mr. Adams and Franklin got anything done with so many eyes watching them. xD Thanks for the comment! :)

  • Tom Wilkinson never missed a beat as Ben Franklin.. "well Mr Adams?".

  • Hahaha! John : O.O -.- XD

Bankroft: I told you he was in the middle of something >> XD

  • Ironic that Franklin, "The Prototypical American" was such a playboy when Washington, "The Father of His Country" was probably sterile.

  • @folklore19 So true, so true :)

  • John Adams is obviously having a very bad day.

  • Ah, good old Ben... so cool and collected.

  • @Cobbledstories Especially after chewwing John up and spitting him out into the streets. Though it was for the best, John is pretty much a humble meglomaniac. Like Hitler with a soul, consious and high morale value. Not a good in the french court when you're trying to woo them into military favors.

  • @Cobbledstories "Well, Mr. Adams....

  • I love how that little guard/servant/lackey dude is as flipping out like "NOOOO YOU CAN'T GO IN THERE HE'S DOING AN EXPERIMENT!" And then LMAO at John's face when he see's frankling in the bath tub

  • old knave

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWKWARD!!!

(Should've listened to Mr. Bancroft, John....)

  • Well MR. Adams?

  • well mr. adams

  • lol

  • Benjamin Franklin is so BAMF.

  • Well, Mr Adams?

  • "Mr. Adams, this is most irregular..."

  • embrassing.XD

  • I've never seen this show, but this made me laugh! It's all dramatic music with Adams mad as hell and the BAM! Bathtub.

  • @BWCxJSM, it really is a great scene! :) You should totally check out the rest of the series, it's awesome!

  • @BWCxJSM I know. I was like LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

  • disgusting re-ra... writing of history

  • @escobari What do you mean?

  • i take it they find it werid to play chess in the tub with your girlfriend

  • I aboslutely adore this show- I died laughing at this scene too!

  • LOL!

  • So the next question is, where do I get a chess board like that? :)

  • LOL, good one! XD

  • An experiment of a very "delicate matter" indeed!

  • LOL! The doctor experiments with no other! :D

  • Oh my god! I nearly fell out my chair laughing. LOL!

  • I'm glad you liked it! It always made me laugh, too. :)
