Dreier comes across as a moderate to many yet his voting record shows what a right wing tool he is. He marches lock-step with every disastrous Bush policy. His article in a local paper on his role in politics elaborated on how wonderful it was to see the gain in power for the Republican party but never mentioned his role in serving his constituency. Being gay while happily obtaining power from a party whose leadership is outspoken in its hatred of gays speaks volumes about his moral "code".

As long as the Republican party is the damp handmaiden of the religious right, gay republicans can only be assumed to have the self-esteem of a gnat.

drier is an embarrasment to the gay community, and of course he is gay. he is an enabler for his own distruction. people like that should have no respect.

and of course a person like this will have his conversion when he is outed by an escort or someone he has betrayed. then he will retire, march in gay pride parades, convert to the liberal cause and ask forgiveness from the gay people he helped oppress. my only hope is the community condemns him as the hypocrite he is as a lesson to other closeted gays in power to be true, first to themselves, then to the community they serve.
