let me tell all ya something i've seen bad but neva have i felt an earthquake, so excuse us on the east coast if it freaked us out a little. while use get it regularly good for u's we dont. and it aint a normal thing for use have some compassion and a little less ignorancy
To the genuises saying they get this all the time. I live in AZ and have NEVER FELT a earthquake even tho I live ADJACENT TO CALIFORNIA. This quake however was felt in VA, down to NC, and even was preluded by a quake in CO.WAKE UP!!!
I don't see anyone talking about the hurricane hitting the entire east coast of the US and Canada..... All everyone talks about now is a few shaky seconds.
omg america stop makin such a big deal out of it, nobody even died so stfu! america is just tryin to get attention from the smallest things they hav! well guess wat america nobody fukin cares bout u.
WOW FIRST WE HAD REALLY BAD TORNADOES THIS YEAR. THEN AN EARTHQUAKE IN VIRGINIA!!??? NOW THERES A FRICKEN HURRICANE GOIN TO NEW YORK WHICH IS HUGE END OF THE WORLD I CALLED IT!!
How would you all feel on the Westcoast if you guys were just suprised with 2 feet of snow one day? Y'all would be suprised too. We aren't trained for these situations in DC. It's a big deal for us
The only reason why we're obsessing over this is because when you you EVER have a 5.9 on the East Coast? We're not used to that kind of stuff here, it was really scary to us.
We live in VA and got hit hard here. I was making a vlog then seconds later the house was shaking and I thought the floor was going to disappear under me.
yah wen i was in starbucks over by my house in va wen the earthquake struck we thought it was a terrorist attack or a bomb and it progressed and we did not know what to do the over head lamps were swaying so hard and stuff was falling over people were running ad in a panic the glass windows were rattling it was so scary i thought the building was gonna colapse
hmm makes u wonder only y non allah believing countries have natural disasters n we come up with excuses like no its a tectonic plate switch blah blah n etc how come there isn't any natural disaster news from middle east makes you wonder is it because they r muslims n believe in true religion doesn't do what god hates like killings innocents and sodamy. who is gonna save you now.
@bxccapricorn Oh believe me the muslims don't have the true religion. FYI there is only one God and Allah ain't Him. Even the saints are not excempt from trouble. Oh excuse me but there have been alot of murders in the name of Allah. You seem to have forgotten about those muslims that have been killed for converting Christianity.
@jlucman24 I live in cali and I build houses for a living so I wonder if ppl in cali know that the buildings here are built with a different type of plywood to withstand Earthquakes some what and thats why houses are even more expensive here cuz there are stuff added to the house to make them more expensive and safer... even tho our earthquakes are in the 2-3 ratio not YOUR FREAKING 5.9. just wanted to get the point out that this earthquake was BIG for the East =) no offence to cali i live here.
@ladyjej buildings on the east coast arent built to withstand earthquakes, and the nuclear reactor near the epicenter of the quake can only withstand up to 6.0
True hurricanes & tornadoes are terrifying. I've been thru both a couple times in my experiences living in Texas & Florida. I think tornadoes are pretty f'en scary & probably the scariest. One thing though, I lived most of my life here in CA & experienced all the big ones since 1987 & the scariest part is no damn warning, your jolted out of your sleep unexpectedly, etc. Then there's the aftershocks. SUCKS! I don't blame east coast for freaking out, they don't get em and quakes scary!
When i felt that in Philadelphia i was freaked out because i was in a chair and then it felt like a roller coaster. The aftershock scared me and my friends which is really rare in the east coast being that powerful
First Colorado and then Virginia - draw a line between the two epicenters. Then check where the middle of that line is ... right in the heart of New Madrid !!!
God is trying to get our attention. we were blessed for so long for being a Godly nation. i know there will be scoffers because we are told. 2 Peter 3:3-4 states 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” i pray that people get right with God before it is to late.
Yeah they'd be freaking out in California if a tornado or hurricane hit them, b/c they aren't used to them!!! EArthquakes in VA are SUPER RARE. Last time we had one this strong was 1897!!!
@ruadhrose Tornadoes, not lately, there were a few tornadoes this year in Northern California where I live but we don't get hurricanes because in the Pacific Ocean, it's chilly. Hurricanes like warm water, that's where they get (part) of their strength. In the coastal areas of the Pacific, they just get tropical storms. Personally, I never actually "noticed" an earthquake where I live, the last one that my dad told me was when I was 7 or so while I was sleeping. I'd freak out too.
It's odd to have an Earthquake in this area.. But it's more odd to have an earthquake felt in many states.. including Canada. Very, very odd. Yes, we have these in California all the time.. But this is rare. Hope everyone on the East Coast is alright! God Bless.
@michellemag83 Well, I've heard that because of how shallow the quake was, and because of how old and hard the crust is out on the East Coast, that it makes earthquake waves highly transmittable.
... reminds me of the Ottawa/Toronto 5.0 /: It caused chaos. a lot of Canada felt it.... holy shit my couch was shaking and im in Toronto. Toronto has reports of office desks in skyscrapers shaking, and i guess they felt it from Ontario, as far east as New Brunswick on Canada's east coast /:
I'm probably not sympathetic because I live in California. We tend to have to be use to tremors and earthquakes because of their reoccurring nature in the state. Wishing you and the rest of the East Coast the best.
FUCK EVERYONE EARTHQUAKES MAKE ME FEEL HORNY IN ASSHOLE AND WARM SEXY FEELING IN MY PENIS AS WELL.
