  • Argentinian version of what? i cant make out whats the name he says, anyone who does mind telling me the name if you are able to hear it? its at around 4:20 - 4:40

    thanks in advance!

  • his accent on the wire was so good that he sounds like hes putting on an english accent...

  • @andyzdbest123456789 Well to be honest the American accent is so easy for us Brits, lol I don't like to brag but I can do a pretty awesome accent to :D

  • @TopJew95 I'm English but the accent he uses I find hard, the one everyone in the UK seems to try and copy is a Californian accent which i agree is pretty easy

  • Of course, there are some great American actors. Meryl Streep comes to mind. But most of my favorites are British. About the "looks," I think the British actors are every bit as attractive as the American, in spite of the fact that the British ones are less likely to have veneers on their teeth, Botox in their faces, collagen in their lips, nose jobs, breast implants, liposuction, etc.

but for character acting, for comedy, for villainy -- you don't get better than British / Irish actors.

  • "sheeeit"

    - Clay Davis

  • Everyone having a go at the british, lets remember two of the best actors in that show were british Stringer Bell and Mcnulty, it says alot when american directors hhire british actors to play main parts MOTHERFUCKAZZZ!!

  • he's british? wow.

  • the black lad on it stringe ror somethin hes a cockney lol just seen a vid of him

  • @J0nnyCArr "stringe ror" lol

  • WTF !!!!!!! av only just started watching the wire i didnt know he was english hes sound fuckin mad

  • He don't seem queer at all to me

  • Wasn't this the guy in Rock Star.....

  • Does anyone else feel that his British accent is fake and his McNulty is the real one

  • And Major Carcetti is Irish.

  • He's bleeding gorgous!

  • how refreshing it is to see REAL people hosting a tv show... the guy actually knew about his guest and cared about him... amazing

  • stringer and mccnulty both british!!! lool =D

  • y them the top commonts... macnulty was born in england and lived in ireland for a long time, wtf you on bout him butcherin the enlish accent anyway he butcherd the baltimore accent way more

  • Stringer Bell is also British

  • Moved up my list of great actors, now that i know he is british.

  • Saw him last night in Othello, what an actor! :)

  • favorite actor... what a beast in 28 days... this actor deserve a lot more

  • Great actor but there were definitely moments when his American accent showed its flaws on the Wire, when I'd think "where the hell is this guy from?!"

  • i knew there was sumthin funny about the way he talked . . .

  • I had no idea he is British until recently - his American accent is great!

  • @Muirmaiden oops. you're mixing up tenses here. tsk tsk.

  • when they emphasized the fact that he played a guy who inventent peniciline but the credit went to somone else I thought they will refer to McNulty. He also was a guy who did all the work but some cunts took credit in front of tv news camera.

  • I'm so pleased I managed to watch all 5 seasons of The Wire and avoided hearing Dominic West speak without his American accent. I don't think I could have watched McNulty again!

  • @Swodeyem He speaks in his own accent for the vice sting in season 2

  • I bet Dominic West is somewhat tired of answering questions about the Wire. But I imagine he knows that it was the type of transcendent piece of art that will follow an actor for ages. To his dying day Brando was stopped on the streets by people who were enamored by the Godfather.

  • all his accents are terrible. check out his accent as jigsaw in punisher warzone!

  • @oidunno88

Hey hey HEY! You do NOT insult Dominic West, like your incompetent self can do any better. And thanks SO MUCH for sharing your comment on a video whom the person you don't like is in it, it clearly says 'Dominic West'.

And FYI, I fucking loved that movie... He was great in it so take your shit ass comment and go wallow in your own self pity.

  • Holy Shiiieeeet, where is the blood in his lips?

  • This is the man who is playing Gloucester's most infamous sons FRED WEST

  • @ericharris1999 enjoyment turned into disaster

  • @seansouth06 well most of it anyway

  • I wish i came here watching drunk....Ronnie Ronnie........RONDA!!!!!!!!

  • love the wire,,,,and he was great,,,yet if you listen closely you can hear his british accent slip out now and then!!! but he was great!!!

  • @dirtsauce season 2

  • ha lol he lks way older than he does now.

  • he look like chris sarandon

  • The presenter touches his ear when he ways he's a huge fan of the wire, lying bastard lol

  • Us Brits are the real talent :)

  • sex on toast

  • Fucking McNulty going undercover as a queer british actor, that badass he can do anything.

  • @Froggywonod haha - as a brit this is funny!!!

  • @Froggywonod ROFLMFAO. HZSEYZSSYEZSAFSDXA S f

  • @Froggywonod You might not care, but your comment about McNulty going undercover as a queer british actor was published in an article about this guy in The Sunday Times newspaper last week. Nice one!

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH MCNULTYS VOICE??

  • @ktina61306 He's undercover. Taking down a British crime ring.

  • i'm traumatized.

  • I had heard he had a posh British accent but i had to hear it to believe it after watching The Wire.

  • HOT!!!

  • the interviewer guy is wearing the same watch mcnulty wears

  • i didnt kno he was actually british i knew from the wire then i stumbled on to his small role i was unaware of in "300" (the traitor guy who rapes the queen and takes the persian bribe then gets stabbed.."da fuck did i do" lol) but when i saw him in 300 i was laughing saying to myself geez mcnulty thats a horrible brit accent - it was his natural accent lol

  • holy fuck i had no idea he was a brit. :o

  • spot on

  • Check out Idris Elba in a show from i thnk around '96 called Ultraviolet. Was a pretty much ignored vampire drama secret agenty affair.

  • sheeeeeeit wtf

  • Hey its Kurt Kuddy.

  • yah...yah....*ahem*...yah

  • Wow... McNulty sounds like this off the set? Got to give it to him, he's a damn good and dedicated actor to acquire a Balty accent.

  • It's funny, there's something very slight about his accent that sounds American, it's definitely more transatlantic than many English accents. Maybe I'm hearing things from watching The Wire but that's how it sounds

  • @paterson0905 I think your hearing things, this guy is about as well spoken you get in Britain.

  • WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT??????

  • P.S. GMTV was so utterly shit.

  • I look at his face, and I hear his words...but my brain doesn't compute

  • bugger me with a fish fork, I thought he was american, I knew Idris was a brit.....my life also means nothing.

  • I think he's still got a bit of the McNulty accent stuck to him.

  • So, who shot snot?

  • Stringer bell is also english...

  • @citylife80...your brain must be small if it can't wrap itself around this phenomenom

  • what the fuck did i do??

  • It's so bizarre not to hear the 'B-More' accent.

  • most of the best actors/actresses are english. sorry guys.

  • @emulord so true

  • lol at his accent. after watchin him on the wire - its hard to believe he has a british accent.

  • He's from Sheffield!

  • Stringers English to lol

  • What do you expect from a former Etonian???

  • wasn't expecting that posh accent at all!

  • I'm British, this is not how we all talk ... he has a very well-spoken accent.

  • @united22 no, you're lying . this is how all british speak!

  • @tangsve thats like sayin all americans sound like rednecks!

  • @ultimatedynamo1 well, they do!

  • @tangsve lol thats true haha

  • i bet idris elba and dominic got along well on the set of the wire with their british accents n all

  • Fuck these ads and FUCK "the folks at GE"

Advertise on my youtube videos and I'll do everything I can to avoid doing business with you. That's what everyone should do-when people run annoying ads-boycott the motherfuckers.

  • @IAMtheNewWorldOrder Hey asshole, the ads are the reason YouTube is free. So if you like not paying to access all these videos, stop bitching about the ads

  • He's just a phony, a big fat phony!

  • @batboyjhg classic family guy line, also apart of my own vocabulary

  • Fuck you'r bitch mother McNulty :DDDDDD

    and Peace Wee Bay :DDDDD

  • Not surprised this is his real accent, I could always tell that wire accent he had was a mix.

  • Nothing says great acting like a british actor doing a great job of portraying an american cop murdering a british accent.

  • @redmunkee

You stole my comment!.... 3 months ago but still.

That is what I came to post :(

  • @redmunkee Holy fuck you're right that was from Season 2 of the Wire no? LOLLL No way he's a Brit!

  • @SonnyA89 He was also in 300.

  • @redmunkee Holy shit he was. hahah this guy is great!

  • "Spot on"

  • Jimmy???? wtf!!

  • McNulty es el puto amo

  • what the fuck he looks like he's got no eyebrows. too much makeup?

  • This is how McNulty sounds in real life??? My life means nothing.

  • @citylife80 you should hear striger bell lmao

  • @citylife80 ..its called acting..

  • @citylife80 The Wire did manage to get some great actors on that show. I have been watching all of these interviews of the actors and they are nothing like they are in real life.

  • @citylife80

This makes the Season 3 whore-house caper even more hilarious!!!

  • @citylife80 You should hear who Stringer Bell sounds in real life. You will question everything you believe about the world.

  • @ramonalejandrosuare they fucking blew my mind the both of them. specially stringer. spot on accents. seems british actors are better at faking american accents than the other way around.

  • He's a Sheffielder.

  • I can't believe how hoity toity his accent sounds. LMAO!!!!

Blows my mind, I can't wrap my head around how different he sounds.

I guess that's why they call it acting.

  • Fuck Mcnulty! You're wearing way too much makeup!

  • you are a gaping asshole mcnulty

  • Bushy Top!

  • is it me or does he have too much make-up on

  • mcnulty my boyyy

  • LEGEND

  • This gives a whole new meaning to the scene in The Wire when he is having a problem trying to speak in a British accent for an undercover case...wow.

  • @WiseGuy5674 Yeah thats gotta be pretty hard to do. Be an Englishman playing an American trying to put on a bad English accent but he damn well pulled it off.

  • well i had no idea he was a brit until i read his bio

  • @geddoe117

funny thing is, one episode he acts having a really bad british accent. i didnt know he was a brit aswel. just shows what an amazing actor he is

  • HAHA HES BRITISH! I always had thought he was American. Sure has that American look.

  • Mc.fu*&ingNulty.. I love that show.. and I am an Australian.. Well done mate..

  • I don't usually do this, but.... HOLY SHIT HE'S BRITISH??

I feel like I'm part of some elaborate prank.

  • WHAT THE FUCK MCNULTY

  • @zenangel924 racist lol

  • Found out recently that I'm releated to Dominic :) he has some irrish blood in him

  • his voice isnt as different as it could have been, a bit lower though but i guess thats just english pronounciation

  • I couldn't watch -- it's too creepy hearing McNulty talk like that...

  • @ivelosthewilltolive true lol this shit is very creepy

  • omg he's english!!! stringer is english too! thats socrazyy

  • Please, can someone tell me what's the name of the show they mention on 4:30? English is not my mother tongue and I can't figure out what they say. Thanks!

  • You know ther first thought crossing my mind every time I see an interview with Dominic? WHAT THE FUCK, HE'S ENGLISH!

  • hee hee when he says

" The Kids On The Street "

    I can't contain my "LOL's"

  • Why is McNulty talking like a fag?

  • @Sirstingray

He's speaking English properly. The American accent is widely accepted as the most toe curlingly annoying accent in the world, which is rendered all the worse when the person using that accent to talk is a fucking moron (like you unquestionably are). We invented the language you've bastardized and ruined with your painful drawl, you xenophobic prick.

  • @Pepotamo1985

Xenophobic? Relax, man. Just because your entire country talks like fags, doesn't make me xenophobic. And I'm pretty sure you didn't invent the language... languages aren't invented, you moronic prick. Think about what you're saying before you say it. As for bastardising and ruining it? The only reason it's spoken around the world is because of your overreaching, imperialist, racist history. Congrats. It's only suitable and natural that a hybrid of the language would develop.

  • @Sirstingray

Blah blah blah - stereotypical, ignorant shouty American. Nice one. So what, languages just exist irrespective of the existence of people then? English was crafted by English people...hence the fucking name, you complete cretin. Also, an American trying to lecture anyone in the modern day about overreaching imperialism or indeed racism beggars belief.

I suppose your brand of English is a hybrid, being a mix of original English, laziness and stultifying stupidity.

  • @Pepotamo1985

Actually, seems that I am Irish, it's a hybrid of original English and modern Irish culture. You might, as well, notice the irony of the imperialism thing now that I have told you I'm from Ireland. You might also want to note the complete irony of calling me a xenophobe, while now claiming Americans to be lazy and stupid. You sir are a bundle of contradictions!I will, however, insist that Americans can speak the language any fucking way they want -in spite of your elegant opinion

  • @Sirstingray

ha an american knocking another country for having a racist history lol.

how about urs and the present for that fact u dick head.

  • @7damia31

You are surely the most retarded person I have ever come into contact with. Shut your stupid fat head up. I'm fucking Irish. And I already mentioned that above. So fuck you. And yes, England does have a racist history. And so does America. Neither have anything to do with me... Spastic

  • @Sirstingray

alright mate calm down go drink a guiness, excuse me for not reading your entire conversation. you must be a ginger with that kind of aggression.

  • @Sirstingray Funny how every other American thinks they're Irish. I hope you were actually born and raised in Ireland as there's a huge difference between possessing heritage and a bloodline from a certain country and literally being from there.

  • @jonnypops1984

Yep born and raised in galway

  • @jonnypops1984 "Funny how every other American thinks they're Irish. I hope you were actually born and raised in Ireland as there's a huge difference between possessing heritage and a bloodline from a certain country and literally being from there."

Sure thing, go ahead and inform all Asian-Britons that they have no right to consider themselves Indian or Pakistani - see how that works for you.

And your English is far superior; love the use of "coolest". Omar was far "cooler" though.

  • @MattyJames25 Um... I wasn't. I'm half Northern Irish and half Palestinian with immediate relatives in Lebanon. However, I was born and raised in England and consider myself to be British more than anything else. I was trying to establish how Irish Sirstringray is because, on the one hand, he asked why Dominic West spoke like a 'fag' (a typically moronic and small minded American thing to say) yet, bizarrely, distanced himself from his American roots by claiming to indeed be Irish.

  • @MattyJames25 At least the Americans haven't replaced the 's' in coolest with a 'z'...yet! ;-)

  • @jonnypops1984 Well, while on the subject, research the American employment of 'z' - it actually predates the codification of 's' in England... The British pilgrims used 'z', and the language evolved afterward (or more correctly was standardized in England as both 's' and 'z' were used), so we didn't replace the 's' with anything: we abide by a purer form of the language ;)

  • @MattyJames25 It doez?

  • @jonnypops1984 Also, why, when Americans speak, is the letter 't' softened to sound like a 'd' within certain words, such as 'water'? That one's always bugged me.

  • @jonnypops1984

In fairness, he is speaking like a fag though....

  • @jonnypops1984 I don't like how you guys say words with "er" endings. Such as drawings. You guys pronounce it "draw-er-ings" and we pronounce it "drawlings"

  • @jonnypops1984 Cute.

  • @MattyJames25 You're right,its called colonial lag

  • @Sirstingray Also, mate, you have to love how David Simon & Ed Burns realised they needed to draft in a couple of 'fag' voiced (your words) Brits to play the two best/biggest/important/coolest characters (McNulty and Stringer Bell) even though they're as far removed from Baltimore and the USA as culturally possible!

So, not only do we Brits speak and write English properly, but we apparently also do a better job pretending to speak that really awful American version than actual Americans too!

  • @jonnypops1984

Are you saying Americans can't write properly? Is that exclusively and English right now? And I'm sure no American has ever been used to play a British character in a movie or TV series....

  • @Sirstingray Apparently neither can the Irish " Is that exclusively and English right now?" is not a proper sentence u sheepshagging pikey wrong un. Don't forget us "fag voiced" brits own a third of youre landmass and i suggest you learn your place and show some respect to the civilised who have been shitting on your'e country for over 800 years. haha jokes i don't like being a racist but if you give it out you've got 2 take it in.

  • @Sirstingray In the traditional sense of the written English language, no, American's can't. The differences between certain words may only be subtle, such as replacing an 's' with a 'z' or omitting an 'u' here and there, but the fact that these changes exist in the first place doesn't make any sense as there was nothing wrong with the English language in the first place. Why spell 'realise' as 'realize' and 'colour' as 'color'?

Also, when it comes to speaking, why turn a 't' into a 'd'?

  • @Sirstingray lol

  • hes a fna od dvaid cameron, how very posh.lol
