Good eye Aligndude!! I'm his girlfriend and I also video taped this with my camera. lol I love that someone thought this was fake that makes me feel good!!! I can't wait to film more in future, Thanks for the comments!!! : )
Dude, seriously, how did you learn to fly like this? Did you practise on the SIM every night? How long have you flown for to fly like this? I am getting so frustrated. Every time I take the heli out I frikken crash it. I am spending all my time (and money) repairing the damn thing. Seems like there is so much downtime in this hobby. I can sport fly pretty well, but every time I try a 3d manoeuvre, BOOM, I crash. It's nothing like the SIM in real life. TELL ME!!!
Still to this day one if not my favorite Trex 500 flights I've seen..Been flying a while now myself and although I have gotten fairly good I still love this guy's style and can get many ideas to incorporate into my own routines. The rythem and placement of his piro flips towards the end of the flight where they gradually get faster is really nice. I've seen many pro's that can't produce a flight this well constructed.
Nice flying. Wish i was half as good. Wish i had a place to fly like that too. Notice you get the nodding when battery is down and you go into normal mode. That is the only thing we have in common i'm afraid. Back to the phoenix simm for me. 5 stars.
dam ur the best man 5 stars ur the man u handle the 500 better than any1 els can only skilled pilots can fly it that low an do stunts like that awesome
I have a trex 600n and a 450. I was curoius to know does the trex 500 autorotate better then the 450? Somone told me that the 500 flys very stable like the 600 is it true?
Thanks guys. The pilot in the video is me Chris Harmon. If you have to own any one machine I would make sure it's a T-REX 500. Smaller machines are too unstable and bigger ones begin to cost a lot but don't really offer any performance advantages. I have also flown other 500 sized machines and this one just has something about it.
@ChrisHarmon1 smaller helis are nice and portable like the rave 450 i stick two in a case and my transmitter and charger in another go anywhere and 90s are just too fun to fly super stable, power, ext...... i figure get all sizes. 500s dont do nearly as well as a 50 or a 90 in wind and 90s if one is a good enough pilot can fly in 30mph winds.
Depends on so many things, for this guy he has the best servo setup I've ever seen. I have slow digital servos on my cyclic, its just not as responsive so stuff like pitch pumps and tic toc's are long and wide.

it flips like the 450, and it's stable like the 600
it autos better, but not as good as the bigger helis since the blades are still really light
