Hi Magnitude of Soul, My first suggestion is don't jump to conclusions as there are a myriad of reasons one's fingers can swell. Rather than going down the path of worry go have a doctor check you out to see if maybe you suffer from an allergy, reaction to something, or any of many other things. As far as movement goes it's generally good to move, but if there is some rare type of hemorrhaging going on then not good. You awful young so don't assume the worst.
Hello I am 21 and I think I am developing arthritis because my fingers are becoming swelled. My question is simply if I keep moving my fingers more often will that increase or decrease the onset of arthritis? Is it a good thing or bad thing?
Your welcome. It's really important when possible to maintain the elasticity of your joints and the supporting tissues. Use complementary treatments like electrotherapy to keep pain levels low enough to be able to maintain motion. Appreciate your nice comments.
Thanks but expense is relative to benefits and quality of life. Docs don't have the units but they do have interferential and the same benefits you describe from all day moving around may be possible with an IF treatment for 20 minutes. Compare 20 minutes for relief with all day movement due to pain. Might be a better trade off than not spending the money but is always a personal decision based upon use of dollars for benefit gained.
just take a hot morning shower..... and dont stop moving around until you go to bed...if you do' get the machine....too expensive!.....whatever Dr dont have it!!
The retail price is $1695.00 however it is generally paid for by insurance and we accept their usual, customary and reasonable charge which means anywhere between $356 from Medicare to the actual 1695 from private pay or liability cases including worker's comp. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for explaining how important it is to still bend your knee no matter how much pain.
