TERRIBLE acting! Judi Dench has learned a lot since then. She acts here like she is on stage. And the accent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!

I saw it when it was originally transmitted and "Talking to a Stranger" remains the best piece of TV drama I have ever seen.

totally agree with above. Damn brilliant! How can anyone be that talented?! She is just beyone awesome. The sheer speed of her delivery...all that and every depth of her character right out there in the open for all of us to see and get. Leaves one simply speechless!
