Hahaha as if it will work out that smoothly. Ive seen the dashcam vids from China. They can't even drive a scooter without hitting 10 things. I give this idea 3 days before a truck runs into it and pushes it into oncoming traffic with 100 dead and scooters and bodies flying everywhere. I'd love to see the dashcam video on that one.
if only the chinese/japanese thought a little more about a project before setting out to achieve it. there are so many pieces of technology they have made which is impressive but just doesnt seem like it would work. I.e. what if there was a lorry in front? or a crash? the bus would be stuck.
Pure science ficiton. The most modern chinese train flew off its tracks & killed dozens of people while another one came to a halt in the middle of no where. LOL!!!
If this type bus run, all driver need to take new test to recieve driver license, simply the bus frame with pre warning lights to indicate next stop or traffic light preferense

I say just put wheels on buildings. This way you can wake up and everyone could drive to work together, then just grab a seat, sit down and start working once your building arrives downtown.
If this project were to take place in Brasil...Hmm, well ... this is totally impossible. Politicians and contractors would steal much of the budget released and never end.
Ok Asians Are Bad Enough Drivers As It Is, Now They Are Going To Drive Big Busses..............I see lots of dead asians in the future.............YAY!!!!!!!!!
@skylermiller29 Move to TX and watch a house get built by a crew of 15 hispanics in just 9-11 days. Move to Kansas and watch the house take a crew of 20 whites over 6-8 weeks to be built... Why can't we have nice things here in the US? Because we don't have a large source of affordable labor.
Yes, Made in China for the better ! build 140 airports at same time, 14 nuclear power station, 25,000km bullet train railway at 278mph under construction,
Building 5 nuclear submarines at same time and build 3 carriers too.
Only China can pull this off, China Go, with respect !
In Mandarin, it said: If the car plans on turning in the same direction as the bus, then it may. However, if a car does not wish to travel in the same direction as the bus, then the bus has priority and is allowed to turn first.
@holonat if you get the chance to see the inventor's original presentation, you would know that in China bus have the priority to turn in cross around section. and the chinese traffic signal system have the technology to let red light show up automatically when bus is approaching. All cars must stop when red light is on. Simple and easy, so your question is not even a concern, at least in chinese traffic rules.
@holonat The Chinese speaker mentioned that the bus must turn first ( in other words has the right of way) before the car can move ( at least when they are at a red light).
@holonat im prety sure the engineers have thought of that, why dont you call them and talk to them about what if cars decide to turn still under the bus
A Suggestion: As any car goes through underneath the bus, for safety concern, it should reduce itself to certain speed, say 60km/h or less than 20km/h difference. Thus underneath 3-D mega bus, there should be one or two security cameras and speed warning systems installed .
Because of the huge metal frame structure& panels and vibration transmitted from riding on the road, Very likely this mega 3-D bus will emit very loud low-pitch noise when rolling on roads. So I think the key is how to design a mechanic structure which produce lowest possible riding noise. I am positive of this innovation. Good luck
@tiberianexcalibur Im sure it's actual cost will still be around $73million as well... it's just those other billions will be used to line the pockets of some officials! LOL
WOW China is improving itself. Subways that don't stop and now these buses... Hope those projects will become reallity, 'cause will be helpfull. Because China has huge traffic jams -so many people and cars-, they now are really innovating to solve it. Evolving from cheaps Made in China things, to high tech Made in China. yeaaaaaaa..... never in america, and maybe not even china.. i can just see all the new possibilites to die while at the wheel. its like a street bound train, stopping that thing would take a bit.. not to mention the sheer mass of the object. if some one lost control under the thing and caused a pile up.. oh man, and the rare chance the supports for it were destroyed, and it collapsed. squish.
Everyone here is smart enough to detect that someone who pretends to be chinese and tends to sow hatred between chinese and other people and play off one another.
Don't get too excited by these just yet. They require larger vehicles to pass around instead of through; and so would need at least three lanes per side in order to permit passing. When one breaks down, the others can't pass it, just like ordinary LRVs. While they may be twice as intelligent a form of transit as LRV (read "streetcar") routes, they're also probably twice as expensive to build! Typically, underpasses will require excavation to allow its passage. If the solution is "up", go Mag!
This is such a creative idea... I couldn't think they could solve traffic jams by putting cars on top of another until I saw this video. Such a wieird but amazingly simple plan.
@Greatdaneo It's a good plan but unfortunately it's just a temporary solution until the traffic is swarming with them.. Then they might build something higher than these etcetera :p
