@davd1986 I went to the final last year and the stadium was pretty much full. Some seats were empty because the match was rescheduled due to the rain delay. The reason why the satdium looks empty in this vid because there was a reain delay earlier and they split the SF matches. Federer vs Djokovic was in Ashe while this match was in Louis Armstrong.

can people stop bitching about who's better. everyone knows Murray hasn't won any slams and that Rafa beat him at wimbledon this year and that Rafa has 8 slams and that by these stats nadal is technically better. But in THIS match Murray beat Rafa and played well. It's called sport and sometimes the better player loses which is what makes sport great. There has to be a loser and in this case it was Nadal (who is a phemominally talented and exciting player to watch) who was beaten by murray.
I know this match got moved cos of the rain and everything, but look how few people are there. This was always gonna be an amazing quality match, and no one got to see it live :(

Although one of those hard court master series's Nadal won was back in 2005 in Madrid that was the same year when Murray started out as a pro. Obsessed isn't the word i'd use, but it's certainly a better barometer of a player's skill level than claycourt tennis, that much a child could work out. I'm all for taking away a few hardcourt tournaments if it meant we could gain a proper grasscourt season though.
Over half, grass and clay only make up three months of an 11 month season. But sadly the way things are going, because they have to help out Nadull as their posterboy etc, all the HCs are gradually going to become claycourts as it is which is despicable.
Hardcourts make up over half of the tour, half of the grand slams and involves attacking, smart tennis. No wonder Nadull struggles on it, his strengths are a physical, fitness, non-skill/talent type of tennis that thrives on claycourts. Glad we've sorted that out :)

can people stop bitching about who's better. everyone knows Murray hasn't won any slams and that Rafa beat him at wimbledon this year and that Rafa has 8 slams and that by these stats nadal is technically better. But in THIS match Murray beat Rafa and played well. It's called sport and sometimes the better player loses which is what makes sport great. Guess your right. But I guess it's because of recent results on their Grand Slam matches that have got me stirred. Although one of those hard court master series's Nadal won was back in 2005 in Madrid that was the same year when Murray started out as a pro. And Murray has a lot more to improve in the coming years. I'm just hoping Rafa can stay on court for another 5 to 10 years. But no taking away Rafa's AO victory he deserved it although I can't see it happening again next year.

Nadull's highest level on HC these days can't get him past any top-tenner these days apart from Tsonga, whereas Murray's highest level is good enough to beat anybody. Judging Murray when he's having a shit run is just dumb, unless you want to be consistent and judge Nadull's bad performances on HC like his losses to Seppi, Clement or being a point away from losing to Mugro in straights as a marker to how good he really is.

@indyk91 Yes EASY DRAWS! He beat Anderson, Gicquel, Serra, Serra, Isner, an injured Nadal, and an exhausted Cilic because he played 3 straight 5 setters prior to the SF match. That sounds pretty easy to me.

Man Murray played so well in this match, but he was able to take the crowd out of it as well. And because of that, he was able to take away some of Nadal's energy and therefore he played a little flat. This was just the advantage Murray needed.

Andy took almost all of his wins against Roger in 2008 when Roger was suffering from mono. Roger has won 15 slams, Andy hasn't won a single one. Roger was no.1 for 237 consecutive weeks and has now hold the place since July. Murray has never been world #1. Only a britton can state that Murray is better than Federer...

I said Murray had a winning 2h2 over Federer, big difference. Roger got his 15th slam, after Nadal was injured and pulled out of Wimbledon...everyone scores from injury.
Oh and before you make anything else up. I am a Federer fan.and have been for a very long time.
