I just saw another one of these ads from Ron Paul. I hope it gets around.

One thing that I find interesting (and a little scary), is that both principled conservatives AND principled progressives seem to think Gingrich is a loser for the same reasons.

Both the Ron Paul/libertarian camp and the progressive camp seem to be in agreement that this guy is totally corrupt and a serial liar. He apparently served one of his wives (he has had 3) divorce papers while she was in the hospital with cancer.

@squirrelywrath2 I heard about that, tragic that there are even people voting for him.

Moreover, are you saying someone can't be conservative and progressive? My Political Science professor said being politically progressive simply meant that religion shouldn't effect our government. Therefore, if you're a conservative secularist, wouldn't you be progressive as well?

@j03y2fly well I was using progressive as a synonym for liberal (Liberal refers to a specific party here in Canda). I looked up the dictionary definition and I get the sense that its one of those things where left wing is really implied but there might be exceptions. Specifically it applies to improving social and economic conditions through government.

I do not see anything about religion? Maybe it was an example your prof was using, of a progressive stance, rather than a definition?

@j03y2fly unless your getting tested on it, just assume that I said "politics like yours, based on my understanding of libertarianism" instead of "libertarian", and assume that I said "left wing" or "liberal" instead of "progressive" and our lives will keep sailing on lol

Though you do need to relax a little lol, I was agreeing with you. Plus when I use the term "principled", that is a good thing. If I call someone that, then I mean that we might disagree, but I still respect them..
