Personally, I like august. Really I think the main reason most fans have such a problem is that she seems to be taking a moral high ground despite admitting (I can't remember which episode) that she was cheating on at the same time.

She under mimes him, humiliates him. She won't stop playing games. And she's a feminist--in the sense she believes in oppressing the male sex. Although wise, she's also full of crap. She mistreats Tommy. But she represents THAT TYPE. That type does exist. That's why it works.
