My 2005 (British registered) Honda Jazz (Fit) has so-called 'Magic' rear seats. These have seat squabs that can be raised and parked, giving a vast rear space from floor to roof lining. Is this feature absent on the Fit you tested?
The Fit is a great car. I have a 2010 white auto sport. I get 37 mpg in combined city and highway. It is all about how you drive. It also has great interior space, fun to drive, nimble handling, lots of standard equipment, environment friendly, great safety ratings, and of course honda reliability. What more can you ask for in a car?
your only getting 30mpg? I have a acura tsx which is 700 lbs heavier and double the hp, and I get 35mpg out of it city/highway. my friend with a dinky fit gets 58mpg highway. you must have been bagging the shit out of it or something
I have a 2009 Brazilian Fit (no GPS, no paddle shifters, disk brakes, 2 inches shorter) and it drives wonderfully. As the guy in the video says, its not a sports car, but it has enough power to go everywhere. I get 375 Mi out of a tank (12 Gal) = 31 mpg city. It has great visibility and huge-ass rearview mirrors. The thing I like the most out of my car is the suspension, with is really soft, but not bouncy. Overall, its a good car, but don't expect any adrenaline coming from this car.

I use to drive Honda for years, their affordable, get good MPG, but I swear Honda's are like Cheap Plastic Boxes with wheels. Sure, this Honda Fit is a very functional car, it gets you where you need to go but don't you want a little more than that out of life? Seriously? Life is too short to drive a Honda. Driving a Honda is like telling the whole world you have NO AMBITION in life at all. It makes you look like a Retail Employee or Fast Food worker. I'm sorry but it's true.
@matt888444 I see what you are saying, but there are those of us who don't care for those extra goodies. And cars that do have more to offer comes at a price that we arent willing to pay for. But to each their own :)
@matt888444 my self...im a young guy well 22 lol i want a car thats cheap on gas and cheap to buy...im leaning towards the fiesta myself but when i want to get more out of life i got plenty of toys to do so...gsxr 750...xr250...and beer haha but this is somthing im goin want to drive everyday and as long as im blasting my music ill be happy haha
hey i was looking at a Fiesta too but then i found out about their tranny problems. Just google fiesta automatic transmission problem. If you buying a manual, then it should be fine.
I've test driven every single B-segment (subcompact) car sold in the U.S. market and the Fit easily beats them all. The Fit has that typical Hondaness you just can't put your finger on. I think they call it Honda DNA.
Which is better? The auto ver. or the manual ver.? Will the fuel consumption be almost the same between these two? Enlighten me please...

How does it drive with 4 people in it and some gear in the back? Is it bogged down?

Smaller honda cars are made in Japan but the bigger honda cars are made in United States, Canada, and Mexico.

I love this car, and I couldn't find any good interior reviews... you answered many of my questions.

Great review - not a huge fan of the Honda Fit though. Nothing stands out to me with this car.
