yea u press the little orange button that has the walkman sign on it but the MP3 player has to be running minimized or not perss it and then shake it it will move down one song if u dont hit play bt if songs r playing it will change and wont repeat a song until all the songs have been played.hope i could help i may have given u more then u wanted (lol)but if theres anything else im here to help.

I've never been a fan of Ericsson, but I've owned a Sony Ericsson and had no troubles with it.

When it came time to upgrade, I started researching newer SE phones and discovered that the W580i had just about every feature I was looking for. Then I started searching forums to see what kind of luck people have had with it. It turns out that the "broken keys/buttons" issue is a fairly common problem among W580i owners who text a lot.

It's a real shame, 'cause it's a cool phone otherwise.

see wen you plug it into the computer u need to go onto removeable disc (on my computer).. and then click on the music folder then copy and paste the songs onto your phone .. thats how mines works xx <3

NOT A GOOD PHONE!!! i had this replaced 3 times due to the slider mechanics failing and the phone falling appart after about 2 months, also this phone has terrible reception!!! I have a sonyericsson k800i and when you compare them you see that the w580 gets 2 bars signal and the k800i gets 5 bars even when there both running on orange 2.5g!!!

Slider phones look good but there no good too much to go wrong in them! next phone will be k810i lol

I've got the W580i too. DON'T buy it. It's a waste of money, keys brake easily,one of them stoped functioning (the "more/options/end call" key), screen moves, i don't hear the left headphone from the hands-free and thats because of the jack and i got it for 3 months only...

"i" series in sony Ericsson's phones shows that they are the latest updates for that series of phones. Meaning the W580i is the last of the W580 phones. W580i is better, but only by a few specs. The W580 & W850i Walkman phones are 2.5G, Quad Band EDGE devices (850/900/1800/1900) and will be available in selected markets from Q3 2007. W850i Works in Asia as well. The W850 does not. ill post you more info in a bit on why they're different.
