  • @0sassylassy0 it depends on the christian and how they interpret God.

  • @0sassylassy0 technically they can. In the bible "God" says that it is evil and is of the "Devil". To be a Christian and practice magick is not a true Christian. Though I have nothing against Christians who do practice magick(or Christians in general) I believe it is disrespectful of them to practice magick when their "God" deems is a forbidden sin.

    -I (a Pagan since 2004)

  • @XxXInannaDarkstarXxX I don't believe it is disrespectful at all, personally. My sister is a Christian Witch, and I am a Wiccan Witch. Her beliefs are none of my business, that's between her and her god, as it is with everyone. None of us have any place to judge it. When we do so, we don't only limit them, we limit ourselves in regards to what's possible. We create a box for our minds.

That's just what I think anyway, lol. Blessed be. )O(

  • @XxXInannaDarkstarXxX well, not all christians interpret "God" in the same way. There is the God of man, the one who was created by man for man's benefit...all the rigid rules and lists of sinful things were written by man, not by god. Some christians abide by those rules. But some see God in a similar way to how pagans do, as one great spirit, and don't apply all of the man-made rules in their lives. So it isn't disrespectful at all. Why can't one believe in both God AND in nature??

  • most people dont fear death I dont think I think is the loss of their love ones life not being able to hug kiss or talk to in a real physican way (I THINK)

  • just wondering, but as a witch, what magic can u do? and do u have a really long nose, and gray/blackish hair?

  • @the bandana, actually ,it has nothign to do with sea. Its called a "blood" bandana. The Bloods is a gang in L.A. lolol

  • great music and loved the info in the movie. Good job, 5 stars

  • Yeah, and who are you to define the undefinable for other people?

  • I think the truth here is that (1) I was too smart to get embroiled in semantic discussions and (2) I didn't really care about anybody who found fault with the project, since the vast majority of people of many faiths have found no fault. If you have a problem with this video, the problem is yours alone--not mine, and not anybody who identifies with the ideas presented here.

  • Let me ad 2 pennies. We are all witches in this discussion, ergo we are all Pagan, no? Under that, is where the tree roots spread out. Wicca, itself, has its own root system spreading. Witchcraft of antiquity can be seen as more a shamanism, as it is understood today. It was THE wise one, living among the tribe, or down the road, alone. Counselor, healer, teacher, walker of worlds. A religion of one, to turn a phrase. We think to be organized makes a religion valid. Tell that to your heart!

  • OK, just to play devil's advocate. Witchcraft is not solely Pagan. Christians, Jews, and Muslims can be Witches as well.

  • im muslim, and i can tell u its haram to be a witch in islam, witchcraft itself is forbidden (haram).

=P but still this is damn interesting.

  • Yes but there are still plenty of Muslims who do practice Witchcraft. It is also forbidden in Christianity and Judaism but still practiced by countless Christians and Jews. What a religion teaches and what its followers do are often vastly different. Popular religion is much more powerful than codified religious law.

  • This is a very good 'project piece'. thank you! You have shown that in creating altar space, the only book you need is YOU!

  • That's exactly it.

  • I agree, a very good project indeed. I think any project that ultimately shows that Witches (however you want to define them) are just normal people trying to follow their own paths, is good.

  • Throwing stones from a passing car, are we? You present no facts, nor do you state more information to give some depth to your idea. Right now, your theory that 'all witches are evil', has as much credence, as anyone who states as a belief, that there is no more cancer in the world.

  • Sweeping generalizations only make the speaker look foolish.

  • No, I understand what you mean. I just think that by saying "Witch" we mean two different things. I am leaning toward the historical meaning of the word as it was used in Northern Europe before 1000 CE when it was Christianized. I would sum it up as, "someone who acts as oracle, community healer, and medium for the gods." Your definition is equally valid, I and the community of Wicca just have a different one.

  • well, by that definition, "someone who acts as oracle, community healer, and medium for the gods." a priest is a witch.....im so gonna use that in religious discussion a school!

  • Well, granted not all Witches practice Wicca but most do.

  • That's another sweeping generalization.

  • Nicely done :)

    Blessed Be.
