I am new beginner in the Electronic dept . I just purchased for my E Yamaha guitar the Digitech RP 55, could you do another demo on the single things that you can do with it ? Would so appreciate it. Also please explain how and what you can do with it. As I said I do play guitar since i m 13 years old. I have a background in Classical and Accoustic Guitar. Now learning E guitar. Thanks for all you can help us with. Thanks
that hairband thing.... if i put ti on does that mean when im shredding if i pluck an open string by accident it wont make any noise!? if so then life is great! please respond thank you!
@guitargod1403 thats just for dampening the strings while playing something on one string you stop the other to resonate or ring....so your playing sounds cleaner....downside you cannot use open strings
@Rock52Drummer Not the extact presets but presets which are close and I would say the better versions of them. The 255 is the better machine better processor more parameters and features and access to anything
@guitargod1403 It is to dampen the strings to play without any noise from the other strings in certain situations. When you do multi finger tapping you dont have fingers in a position to damp the strings not being played...that when the rubber band comes in.
@TheSick121 I always try to create riffs and licks myself to not get in trouble with royalities and stuff....that picking thing is my idea but I would be proud if you use it or twist it around and make some song of it
@sirvidia I like this particular Tenneesee although I have played a few I didnt like. Framus has a guy who controls quality since quite a while now and since he is on bord the quality gets significantly better. So now the average instrument is better than my Custom Shop instrument....his name is Markus Sprengler or Sprangler or something...nice guy, knows a lot about tone wood
@18alex In some countries I saw them offer it in most of the countries though you need to buy the adapter...it is DC 9V and 300mA...the adapter is called PS200R - the original.....
@ralfjung i like all your demos on the Digitech's line of RP multi effects pedals! 5/5 for all. but would u choose the rp90 or rp155 (on tight budget of 110 bucks)
@hellow504jr I would go for the RP155 because it is the next higher platform and you have access to all of the parameters. Plus it has the USB connection to the computer to remote control it and to directly record the sound....
@9yo7 I would point you towards the RP90 and not the 70....simply because it is newer has some more effects and has the pedal over the RP55 for Whammy Wah and other Expression effects. I dont know the count of the effects which are in the pedal but more than 40 or 50....you can use 9 at a time
hey bro , i can't believe this ! i watched your demo video of Rp1000 and it sounds the same as this too !!! what the hell ! does the Rp1000 sounds the same as this i mean effects ??
@KurdishRockstar1 Thx to begin with...but believe me the RP1000 sounds better. The heart of the sounds comes from the same engineers so it is quite similar but when you crank it or use it live with a band the 1000 is the better unti...plus it has morte models all the parameters and loops and loopers etc etc
@karmapaintball I think you mean that example with the overtones/flageolettes...that is a Whammy pedal which is included in the RP. The example after that is just a long delay
do mean when I play solo or that riff with open chords....both a factory presets which you find in the first 10 preset numbers...solo has some delay and a slight reverb effect on it....the chord thing has a flanger/chorus effect with some delay and reverb on top of it
do all thse effects come already preset to the pedal? and is this all or are there more and can it wah? and up to how many effects can you use at a time
yes they do....actually a preset contains various effects...or none...but always an ampmodel to give you a certain style . It can do a Wah effect but you need an expression pedal to control in real time...the option is to use the automatic Wah. You can use up to 9 effects at a time
@TheSlipknot91 I wished I had his life of Two and a half man....oh wait minus the neuroses and the mother and the brother...I wouldnt mind the house and his money though
Yeah! Thanks for this demo! I've been thinking about getting a "multi-effects" device, and by the time you got to that Eddie Van Halen "Unchained" riff at about 4:50, I was pretty much convinced that this is the one I should get, especially since Amazon has it right now for less than $50! Love that sound. Thanks.
so if im getting this, and i want to play wah w/out getting another pedal, can i do that on the rp55? (i dont expect to have like volume/wah control over it i just want the sound)
well if you are only looking for a delay effect why not buying a single delay pedal...but yes it has various delays built-in. If you are really focused on delay only you should check it out before you buy it because Digitech uses templates on the effects...delay template one would be...digital delay with 300ms 10 on repeat 10 on delay volume...next template would be 400ms with 15 on repeat 15 on volume etc etc...the higher you go and you have 10 templates on the FX the more FX you get
sure....press and hold the footswitches - both of them for 2 or 3 seconds. This will bring you in tuner mode....press one of the footswitches to exit. This is written in the manual at the very beginning
Yes good ears!...Most of the long scale guitars I play like Strats or this Framus in the picture etc I play in E flat to loosen up the strings and get a rounder bottom end....a round bottom is always nice...smile...
I play a quite heavy set of strings 11-52 on this guitar so it would be hard to do the diddly diddly stuff without being in E flat
I wouldnt guarentee that it would be better nor do I say it will be worth. You see the man with best tone on earth Billy Gibbons uses really thin strings.....Brian May too...Yngwie, Albert Lee they are all using 8 to something and sound great. Then again rumour has it that SRV used up to a 15 on the high e string....so now back to you...confused?....there is no guarentee no rule thats the only sure thing. If you are happy with 10s to something stick with it and concentrate on the music...Cheers
eh somewhat but what really matters is that i make it sound good and the audience doesnt really getting picky with what i am using so thanks for the info
For reggae guitar to get that good wah sound what is the best setting on this digitech? please help

ralfjung 2 years ago
for the Wah you need an expression pedal...then you need to switch it on in the preset and assign the Wah to the expression pedal....
ralfjung 2 years ago
is this pedal works with a vox valvetronix vt30 amp?
ZEROX155 2 years ago
sure it does...keep the amp as clean as possible and if it has a power amp in or a FX return use that for the RP
ralfjung 2 years ago
It's possible to adjust a bunch of different custom made sets right?
like say if you wanted a certain type of delay, or reverb, with a certain distortion mixed an what not?
Cause I really want to get this for the diff distortions and delays.
Dragonofkreation 2 years ago
yes sure you can assign any effect to your liking....then save that in a preset and store that to a preset number you like
