Shit, if I bought a house with a cemetery on the property, I'd dig up all the graves, take the jewlery, wear it, and look fucking cool as shit. Then I'd piss on the bodies and rebury them upside down. Then I'd have to jack it for at least an hour.
it makes me sad how you basicly robed from that cript you should read these coments so you reilize what youve done. You should be ashamed for posting this
GRAVE ROBBING!! If you did that to me I would terrorize and haunt you and your family for generations untill it was returned! What are you going after next? Rare jewelery? Gold teeth? Watches? The Cemetary is not meant to be looted! The desecration of a grave will not go unpunished.
@craig12ist It is looting. I find it disturbing that if you have no living heirs, anyone can file a petition and get your stuff. It makes me sick to know people can rob graves legally.
I cannot belive that you would disturb a tomb for something like that when you know good and well that that was their fininnly wishes after there death
well that my friend is what is called grave robbing just becouse you beleave that what E.P. Jones want to have placed inside of his crypt need to go back into the house E.P beleaved that he want it with his remans so best that I can say is lave it alone.
@thedeadmanned Believe* ... but i completely agree with you and everyone here.. this guy is an asshole with no claim to these statues. He hopes for a court to grant him the statues? He is obviously only a history teacher with no experience with law. He has claims to the house and whatever contents inhabited the home purchased therin. Unless the statues were taken from the home after the house was purchased then he has no claim.

What you did was very very wrong. I can't believe a rational person would have any desire to steal from the dead, because no matter how you wish to present it, it's grave robbing. The items should go right back into the mausoleum and a lock put back for good. Doesn't matter how many papers he has to go through - they were placed in the mausoleum for a specific reason. You should have more respect for the dead.
why couldn't he have shown the nitches he believed these statues came from? I might have felt differently about this. there is some kind of financial gain with them being removed and being on display for him or a company he is with. you don't go around opening a mausoleum that had been sealed for decades without having any doubt the statues would NOT be there. he had his ducks lined up ready to pounce once those doors were opened.
I actually think the "House" is the Jones old house turned into a Musem and they are going to put the statues and stuff in it so people can see and remember them. That is what I think so you all that are saying things like he is stealing them he has to go threw all of this diffrent paper work so he can get these and put them in the "House"
Van Renterghem is nothing but a grave thief. Somebody placed those statues there out of respect. Just because you bought a house doesnt make you owner of these. Scumbag
I'm sort of bothered by this. So, because there's no living heirs to the estate, Mr. Renterghem feels entitled to steal furniture from the Jones family to add decor for his own house? That statue was placed in that mausoleum for a reason and there was also a reason for the huge padlocks on the mausoleum doors- to keep out GRAVE ROBBERS. Please have respect.
@thistrucksforyou All of us buried WILL be dug up eventually. May be 300 years into the future, but it WILL happen! If someone knew you were buried with a gold watch, they'd find an excuse to dig you out and reclaim it.

If you want the statuary so bad why don't you have reproductions made and return the originals to the mausoleum where they belong? Shame on you.
