  • I had this same model "Magic Mike" robot as a child. Is this item for sale?

  • @ octopusbunny03 It is a vintage robot from the 80's. The robot was stamped 2002 to further add to its futuristic appearance.

  • WHAT ???!!! if it's 2002 it's not VINTAGE !

  • Loud little bugger. I'll have to make sure my giant killer robot doesn't make any of those noises. Check him out on my vids. he's big

  • these are amazing, I was given one as a present in the early 90's. I love the look of it.

  • Magic Mike Knockoff :(

  • wowww yo tuve unooo, amazing!!!! kiero llorar!! waaaahhh jeje XD

  • i think this robot must have composed every DOS game ever

  • Maybe post a video where it is talking (if the record inside contains speech of course)? I got a model of such robot when I turned 7 which is grey and talks with recordplayer too (Robo Ace RA 178) . Unfortunately the lid of the batteryholder was gone when I found it on the attic after many years. I don't know whether it's working or not.

  • Ha had this one as a kid but mine smoked? o_O

  • It's Magic Mike!

  • New to vintage in 8 years. :)

  • @HunterXray 8 years? It wasn't made in 2002, it just says that. They were made in the 80's.

  • lol didnt this robot play a voice like "my name is magic mike" or something. I loved all these 80s toys that smoked. they dont make anything like this today prob/ b/c they think its a fire hazard.

  • Nice robot. At the end of the video, what series did all those white and red vehicles come from? They look like Go-Bots.

  • Thoses red and white robots were made by TOMY in the '8o, its was a set of 4 toys given or sold as a promotion at some fast foods joints or maybe gas stations, if I remember well.

  • @DaRetroGate

You are right, I had them from McDonalds, I still have the car one.

  • @DaRetroGate my magic mike dont have those buttons. Which one do you have? my red by the way.

  • Awesome! I had the red one when I was a kid, I so need to find this on eBay.

  • in the mid-80's they sold this one without the electronic fx but with a record inside playing speech or a siren. was my very favourite toy

  • I had one like what your talking about and I took mine apart b/c thats what I did back them and I tried to get the record to play on my stereo. I bet if I did that today with a record player Id end up having the audio on the record on my PSP.

  • haha, i remember i tried that too :)

but i didn't work because we had an automatic

turntable, and the tone arm couldn't play

it because the disc was too small

  • @zatzen

Like I said in my other comment if I did this again and tried playing it on a regular record player id actually keep the record in the robot and somehow get the needle of the hifi record player to the little record inside he robot like take this thing apart only enough to do that then re assemble it b/c these toys are super rare. or you can just clip leads on the speaker and do it thaty way but id rather get the raw data and make it an mp3.

  • Holy fucking shit, my childhood. It smoked if you put oil/lighter fluid in it right?

  • You're right, you can put oil into it and it's puffing some little burst of smoke... I didn't showed it because I was already tired of the sound of the robot! Maybe I'll shoot "Puff da smoking robot" someday.

  • @DaRetroGate just to warn you not to operate the robot without oil as the filament will burn out. This is not really a viable repair either...

  • @Silks haha yea i still got mine these were awsome when i was younger
